Former U.S. President Joe Biden Diagnosed With Aggressive, Advanced Prostate Cancer

According to the report, Joe Biden’s prostate cancer has spread to his bones, making it incurable but treatable. The news comes shortly after the former statesman underwent evaluation upon the discovery of a small nodule in his prostate. Several U.S. leaders have worried about the diagnosis and wished Biden a full recovery.

Former President Joe Biden Has Prostate Cancer

The office of the former President of the United States revealed on Sunday that former President Joe Biden has prostate cancer. The cancer is of the most aggressive type and has spread to his bones.

Per CNN, the report reads, “Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.” It continued, “While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive, which allows for effective management.” The official statement added that Joe Biden and his family “are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”

The update about Joe Biden’s prostate cancer comes days after a spokesperson revealed that the former president needed some evaluation. They said that the care team had discovered a “small nodule” on Biden’s prostate. This is not the first time the former president battled concerns about his health. There were many concerns about Biden suffering cognitive decline during his last days in office. However, the former statesman, wife, and aides consistently denied those allegations.

After his office broke the news of his prostate cancer diagnosis on the internet, Joe Biden also addressed it. He took to X, formerly Twitter, on Monday morning, where he expressed courage and thanked fans and loyal supporters.

“Cancer touches us all. Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support,” Biden wrote, with a picture of him, the former first lady, Jill Biden, and their cat.

According to CNN, an insider says the former statesman is at his home in Wilmington, Delaware, this weekend, when asked where Biden is being treated. According to the Cleveland Clinic, prostate cancer is quite common in men. It is the second leading cancer type, after skin cancer, affecting men.

Thankfully, it is often discovered early, according to Mayo Clinic urologist Mitchell Humphreys, and it is curable, especially if found early. Other treatment options exist if the cancer has spread to other areas. Prostate cancer can be assigned a grade level known as a Gleason score, and the most aggressive form is level 9.

Cruel Scammers Exploit Photos Of A 9-Year-Old Boy Fighting Brain Cancer On Fraudulent TikTok Accounts To Collect Donations

The family of a 9-year-old boy battling brain cancer is speaking out against scammers taking advantage of their heartbreaking situation to make money for themselves, as reported by the NY Post.

Deceitful individuals have been using images of Julian Galloway on fraudulent TikTok and other social media accounts to solicit donations from kind-hearted individuals via PayPal, according to ABC13. The Texas family, who has been documenting Julian’s courageous fight against cancer on Facebook, discovered this disturbing scheme in May. “It’s very disheartening. People out there will do anything to make a quick buck, ”the boy’s father Lee Galloway told The Post Monday. Julian was diagnosed with medulloblastoma in December 2019. Two years ago, he was given just six months to a year to live, but he has defied the odds and continues to bravely fight today, according to ABC13.

The family has made significant efforts to report the fraudulent accounts, attempting to work their way through the app and its support center to have the posts removed. However, Galloway shared with the Independent that it has been challenging for them to even demonstrate that “anybody had been victimized.”

Although the family has noticed a decline in scammers since they began raising awareness about the issue, Galloway still discovers new accounts featuring even more current information. They took photos they specifically shared with nonprofits or images that Galloway just posted on their Facebook page moments earlier.

  • Stage 3c Colon Cancer Survivor Sounds Alarm To Raise Awareness About Symptoms She Ignored

Stage 3c Colon Cancer Survivor Sounds Alarm To Raise Awareness About Symptoms She Ignored

In 2012, at the age of 44, Cheryl, known as @just.cherl on TikTok, received a life-altering diagnosis of stage 3c colon cancer.

Now a survivor, Cheryl uses her platform to educate others about the importance of recognizing early symptoms, emphasizing the signs she initially overlooked.

Cheryl admits she ignored symptoms for months, attributing them to stress, aging, or dietary choices. “I never thought these minor inconveniences could be life-threatening,” she shared in a recent TikTok video. Her journey from diagnosis to survival has fueled her mission to ensure others don’t make the same mistake.

    The Five Symptoms Cheryl Overlooked

    1. Persistent Fatigue: Cheryl often felt unusually tired but chalked it up to her demanding lifestyle.

    2. Unexplained Weight Loss: Despite not changing her diet or exercise routine, she noticed the pounds slipping away.

    3. Changes in Bowel Habits: Cheryl experienced shifts in stool consistency and frequency but dismissed them as dietary effects.

    4. Abdominal Pain or Discomfort: Mild, recurring cramping was another symptom she disregarded.

    5. Rectal Bleeding: Perhaps the most alarming sign, she assumed occasional blood in her stool was due to hemorrhoids.

    From Diagnosis to Advocacy

After her diagnosis, Cheryl underwent surgery and chemotherapy, eventually emerging cancer-free. The experience transformed her into a passionate advocate, leveraging #TikTok to raise awareness about colon cancer prevention and early detection.

“Colon cancer doesn’t discriminate,” Cheryl says in one of her videos, encouraging regular screenings. She highlights that the American Cancer Society now recommends colon cancer screening begin at age 45, earlier for those with a family history or risk factors.

“Don’t be like me if you are truly having issues, then go get checked,” she said. “Early detection is the key!! It’s ok to be nervous and afraid, but not to the point of doing nothing!”

    Spreading Awareness Through Social Media

With over 100,000 followers, Cheryl’s TikTok page is a hub of education and encouragement. She shares personal anecdotes, debunks myths about colon cancer, and encourages open conversations about health. Her advocacy resonates with a diverse audience, particularly those who might not prioritize routine checkups.

“Pay attention to your body,” Cheryl advises. “Even the smallest signs can be your body’s way of telling you something’s wrong.”

    The Importance of Screening

Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the #UnitedStates, yet it is highly preventable and treatable when detected early. Cheryl urges everyone to speak with their healthcare providers about screenings, regardless of age.

For more information on colon cancer symptoms, prevention, and screening, visit the American Cancer Society’s website.

If you or someone you know is experiencing symptoms, consult a healthcare professional immediately. Early detection saves lives.

  • Cancer Patient Wins $18.8M From Johnson & Johnson In Baby Powder Trial

Cancer Patient Wins $18.8M From Johnson & Johnson In Baby Powder Trial

California man wins $18.8 million lawsuit against Johnson & Johnson after alleging he developed cancer from exposure to talc-containing baby powder, a jury decided Tuesday per the NY Post

Emory Hernandez Valadez, 24, told the court that he developed mesothelioma, which is an

“aggressive and deadly form of cancer,”

according to Mayo Clinic. The tumor reportedly spreads to the lungs, stomach, heart, and other organs causing chest pains, shortness of breath, and other deadly symptoms. Valadez said he suffered from heart issues due to

“heavy exposure to asbestos and other carcinogens”,

    reports reveal.

Valadez, who sued the company last year, was awarded $3.8 million in economic damages and $15 million for noneconomic damages.

Mesothelioma is incurable and carries a life expectancy of 18 to 31 months, according to Mesothelioma.com. Most lawsuits over J&J talc have been delayed, however, due to Valadez’s diagnosis, US Chief Bankruptcy Judge Michael Kaplan allowed his litigation to proceed.

The NJ-based company denies being the cause of Valadez’s prognosis and said they plan to appeal the verdict. Erik Haas, vice president of litigation at J&J, told the outlet that they have evidence, that they were not able to present in court, to prove their innocence.

“Without the benefit of that evidence, the verdict is irreconcilable with the decades of independent scientific evaluations confirming Johnson’s baby powder is safe, does not contain asbestos, and does not cause cancer,”

    Haas said in his statement.

The company announced in August that it would be discontinuing the talc-based baby powder globally in 2023.

  • TikToker Arrested After Scamming GoFundMe Donors Out Of Thousands After Documenting Fake Cancer ‘Battle’

TikToker Arrested After Scamming GoFundMe Donors Out Of Thousands After Documenting Fake Cancer ‘Battle’

An Iowa woman is accused of faking her cancer diagnosis and swindling over $37,000 from concerned donors, NY Post reported.

Madison ‘Maddie’ Russo was arrested on Jan. 23 after authorities got wind of the 19-year-old’s TikTok campaign where she documented her journey with

“Stage 2 pancreatic cancer, and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.”

Russo talked about what it was like being a college student suffering from a tumor

“the size of a football that wrapped around her spine.”

However, Maddie’s story began to crumble when anonymous witnesses claiming to be medical professionals said they recognized faulty medical equipment and

    “discrepancies”

after watching her videos. They notified the police who later issued a search warrant at Russo’s Bettendorf apartment. Police discovered a brown paper bag with medical supplies, an IV pole with a feeding pump filled with cotton swabs, a wig, and pills for nausea in a relative’s name in it, according to the court documents.

The teen reportedly opened a GoFundMe account where she raised $37,303 from more than 439 anonymous donors, officials said. In her GoFundMe description, it reads,

“Maddie is currently undergoing vigorous chemotherapy and radiation treatments that make her very sick… As one can imagine, this diagnosis has been very hard on Maddie’s family… If you are able to, donations would be greatly appreciated to help cover medical expenses and to allow Maddie to focus on one thing only, which is to show that she is stronger than cancer and will beat this.”

The profile has since been removed and donors were reimbursed.

Russo was charged with first-degree theft and faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
