A man from Pennsylvania has been accused of stalking a woman he met on an online dating website, according to Fox 29 Philadelphia. Matthew Bustin, 33, allegedly attached a GPS tracker to the woman’s car after a brief relationship that ended when she became uncomfortable and noticed strange behavior.
The victim contacted the police after returning from a vacation to find the circuit breakers turned off and the internet connection cut. Investigators discovered a GPS tracking device under the victim’s car and linked it to Bustin. Surveillance footage from the victim’s workplace showed Bustin attaching the tracker to her car.
Cellphone data also revealed that Bustin had been in the vicinity of the victim’s home and workplace on multiple occasions without her knowledge since their relationship ended. Bustin turned himself in and now faces charges of burglary, criminal trespassing, stalking, and harassment. He is currently in custody at a Bucks County Correctional Facility with a bail set at $2 million.
