    A former NYPD officer, who was fired for allegedly assaulting the mother of his child and drunk driving, was reportedly stabbed to death in Staten Island on Wednesday by a man in black clothing, police say per Fox News

    Police identified Nicholas Nelson, 37, was identified as the victim. Nelson was reportedly walking with his children when he got into a heated exchange with the unidentified suspect. Sources say Nelson dropped his kids home before returning to the scene to further confront the suspect. The man, who witnesses say was wearing all black and a ski mask allegedly stabbed Nelson in the neck before fleeing the scene on foot. 

    He was transported by EMS to Richmond University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injury. 

    Nelson joined the NYPD in 2008 and was terminated in May 2021 for allegedly attacking his then-girlfriend and drunk driving. Nelson reportedly

    “punched her repeatedly, pulled her hair, and dragged her to the floor”

    in 2012 and got into a car accident in 2018 after driving under the influence. He received a 30-day suspension and pleaded guilty to DUI.

    12-Year-Old Girl In Custody After Fatally Stabbing 9-Year-Old Brother

    Late Thursday night, officers in Tulsa, Oklahoma responded to a call about a stabbing. When they arrived to the apartment complex, paramedics were performing CPR on a 9-year-old boy. The child’s attacker was a 12-year-old girl and the victim’s sister, CNN has reported.

    “Officers learned the children’s parent was upstairs asleep when the 12-year-old daughter woke the parent up and said that she had stabbed her nine-year-old brother,” the Tulsa Police Department said in a news release.

    Though the victim was transported to a local hospital, and taken into surgery, he unfortunately succumbed to his wounds shortly after. The suspect has been taken into police custody and is currently being held at the Family Center for Juvenile Justice. The Tulsa Police Department Child Crisis Unit has been placed in charge of investigating the stabbing further.

    Suspect Arrested In Vicious Slaying Of Four University Of Idaho Students

    After a weeks-long search police have arrested Bryan Christopher Kohberger in connection to the vicious slaying of four University of Idaho students, NY Post reports. 

    The suspect was reportedly hiding out in Scranton, Pennsylvania before he was apprehended at around 3 am Friday. According to the outlet, the 28-year-old was studying for his Ph.D. in criminal justice at Washington State University in Pullman, just 10 miles from Moscow, where the killings took place.

    Kohberger is accused of murdering Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Kernodle’s boyfriend Ethan Chapin, 20 in their off-campus residence on King Road in Moscow, Idaho, on Nov. 13. The victims were reportedly stabbed multiple times in their chest area in the middle of the night. Two other roommates were home at the time of the murders but were left unharmed.

    Families of the victims say they are

    “relieved,”

    after waiting almost seven weeks for answers.

    “Of course we’re relieved,”

    Cheryl Goncalves, grandmother of victim Kaylee Goncalves, told The Post.

    “This is what we wanted… We wanted him caught and now we want justice,”

    she added. Mogen’s father, Ben Mogen told the outlet,

    “from the very beginning, I’ve known people don’t get away with these things these days. There’s too many things that you can get caught up on, like DNA and videos everywhere.” 

    Kohberger briefly appeared in court Friday morning.
