    An Oklahoma substitute teacher was arrested Thursday for her inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old student, then released on bond shortly after, The New York Post reported.

    In October of 2022, Emma “Delaney” Hancock of Wellston, Oklahoma began her pedophilic relationship with a student she met while working as a substitute teacher. Several weeks after she texted the Wellston Public Schools student to ask for a copy of a school assignment, they began exchanging nude photos and videos. According to court documents, Hancock is also accused of kissing and groping the minor when the two secretly met in classroom closets.

    Though how the inappropriate relationship was discovered remains unclear, the sexual abuse was reported to the school district some time in November, and the child sexual predator was terminated from her position and banned from the high school campus.

    Nearly 5 months later, Hancock was finally arrested and charged with two counts of soliciting sexual conduct or communication with minor by use of technology and two counts of lewd or indecent acts to child under 16. She was later released on a $50,000 bond. Due to the pedophile being the daughter of Mayor Paul E. Whitnah and wife to Chief of Police Alfred Hancock, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is handling the case.

    An Alabama man who worked as both a Bible teacher and soccer coach has been arrested and charged for having an ongoing sexual relationship with a student, CBS 12 News reported.

    On Monday night, concerned parents notified police in Mobile, Alabama that they could not find their 16-year-old daughter. She had told them that she was going to a local Walmart for school supplies, and then was nowhere to be found.

    “She hadn’t returned in an hour and a half, so they went out, found her car, but did not find her daughter in the car,” said Lieutenant Mark Bailey of the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office. “They went inside the Walmart, and could not locate their daughter, so they became very concerned.”

    Soon after, police spotted the missing teen walking back to her car and questioned her about her previous whereabouts. After speaking with officers, the 16-year-old confessed that she had met her teacher in the Walmart parking lot, drove to a different parking lot, and had sex in his car. She later admitted that they had been engaging in sexual acts for months, usually in his car, but occasionally at his home.

    44-year-old Jonathan Sauers, an employee at Christian school The Faith Academy, was arrested and charged with one count of a school employee sex act and one count of a school employee sexual contact with a student under 19. The child sexual predator is currently being held in police custody, and is scheduled to appear in court for his bond hearing on Thursday.

    In September of 2022, Sam Bateman, a self-declared prophet of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS), was arrested for transporting minors in interstate commerce to engage in criminal sexual activity and traveling in interstate commerce to engage in illicit sexual conduct with minors. With an investigation ongoing about his marriage to twenty women, including nine minors, more charges are to follow.

    While in police custody and awaiting an upcoming trial, Bateman used the jailhouse phone system to “engage in sexual discussions with children,” federal prosecutors say. In these conversations with both a 13-year-old and a 16-year-old, he would reminisce about their past sexual encounters, make profane sexual remarks about their breasts and talk about his desire to sexually abuse them further. “Don’t you remember all those sacred times we spent together,” Bateman reportedly asked.

    According to Law And Crime, the conversations violated a Superior Court’s order that prohibited Bateman from all contact with his underaged victims. Government documents noted the violation, stating that the sexual predator “repeatedly misused detention facility communications systems in violation of policy.”

    After his trial was adjourned multiple times and was pushed back another year, Bateman is now scheduled to reappear in court March 5, 2024. The Arizona’s Department of Child Services has yet to comment on how the 13-year-old was able to contact Bateman while within their custody, and have not mentioned whether steps have been taken to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
