A 53-year-old staffer at an high school in Idaho was reportedly recorded having sex with a student on campus. Officials say Mary Strong, a teaching assistant, claimed she might have been too drunk to remember the incident. She faces charges for having an indecent relationship with a teenage student. The student was 16 or 17 years old, according to the New York Post. 

She reportedly sent the student explicit photos and videos on Snapchat and was captured on camera having sex with him at school, leading to an investigation. Strong rejected the claims, saying she can’t remember because she was drunk. A school official reported it on Valentine’s Day.

On Tuesday, Strong appeared in court and face charges of sexual battery involving a minor. The judge set her bond at $100,000 during the hearing. 

Victoria Olds, a Nez Perce County Judge, said during the woman’s initial court appearance, “A $100,000 bail is very reasonable request by the state considering the nature of the offense and the information contained in the affidavit of probable cause.” 

Greg Kramasz, the Tammany High School principal, wrote a letter to the “school community” revealing their plans on working with officials. 

“The safety and wellbeing of our students are of the utmost importance. We take these allegations extremely seriously, and I want to assure you that every step has been taken to support the investigation and maintain a safe environment for all students at Tammany High,” said the letter.
