Pedro Luis Parra Pulgar was obtained by the officers of the Fulshear Police Department on November 6. According to KWTX, this was the same day that they received an emergency call from his residence. Upon arriving, the authorities met an unbelievable scene.
The officers saw that the home had been badly affected by flames. But they heard a muffled cry of a child trapped inside. Immediately, they broke through a bedroom window to save the child. Police maintained that Pulgar, who is the father of three children, had thoughtfully trapped his kids inside.
While the toddler struggled to make it out alone, Pulgar’s other two kids had escaped the building. Authorities are yet to decide why the father would intentionally harm his children. However, they ruled that the suspect was fully aware of the situation. Still, some details have been kept away from the public.
As of now, the names or whereabouts of the children are yet to be made known. But it appears that they are not in critical condition. Fox News reports that the first two children who narrowly escaped the fire were left with minor injuries.
On the other hand, their toddler sibling was tortured by the smoke leading to smoke inhalation. Fortunately, following hospitalization, the little one has been discharged. As for Pulgar, the 46-year-old has been booked into the Fort Bend County Jail. This happened over a month after the fire incident. He has been released from the hospital and will face the court on charges of attempted murder. His bail has now been set for $2.25 million.
