Last week, two men, Vanshpreet Singh, and Manpreet Singh traveling into Illinois were stopped and the police discovered cocaine worth more than $40 million.

According to the New York Post, Vanshpreet, 27, and Manpreet, 36, were traveling from Canada in a Volvo semi-truck. When they reached Interstate 80 in Geneseo, west of Chicago, their vehicle was stopped by the Illinois police.

As the authorities searched the truck, they stumbled upon an overwhelming discovery. The Singhs had 1,146 pounds of cocaine in their vehicle. The market value for these drugs was recorded at over $40 million.

So far, the US is concerned with stopping the influx of illegal products through their borders. President-Elect, Donald Trump is seriously committed to enforcing that a law is passed against such activities. He has declared that countries such as Canada and Mexico will be charged 25% on products entering the US. This law will not stop until there is no more smuggling of drugs.

Following the arrest of Vanshpreet Singh and Manpreet Singh, they were both charged with Class X felony counts. This includes cocaine trafficking, possession of cocaine, and possession of cocaine with intent to deliver.

In the evidence gathered, the illegal products were stacked, creating the illusion of a high brick wall. For now, the suspects are being held in the Henry County Jail with no bond. They are set to attend their first court hearing soon.
