A 34-year-old man boycotted airport security and nearly flew an Alaska Airlines plane. Despite getting arrested he remained unremorseful while defending his actions. KGVO first reported that Justin Reed Seymour visited the Missoula International Airport on October 22. However, his intentions weren’t to fly like every other passenger, rather he caused a scene after bypassing the TSA officers at the checkpoint. This led the officers to call in the breach. Yet, Seymour raced towards a newly landed Alaska Airlines.

Breach Alert! Man Enters Alaska Airlines Cockpit in Montana Airport Before Being Apprehended

Yet Seymour raced towards a newly landed Alaska Airlines flight. The suspect made his way through the jet bridge in the hopes of hijacking a Boeing 737 aircraft. At first, he encountered interference in the form of an employee, but Seymour pushed the person out of his way while entering the aircraft.

Eventually, he entered the plane and began heading towards the cockpit. This time two flight attendants allegedly tried to intervene. A raging Seymour pushed them into the cockpit door while injuring the fingers of one of the flight attendants.

Fortunately, the police arrived before the intruder took control of the Alaska Airlines plane. After stopping Seymour, they detained him at the Missoula County Detention Facility. Upon interrogation, the felon confessed that he was headed to Estonia. According to the 34-year-old he had received instructions from some “bad people.” The police asked if he had experience flying an airline and that was when he gave the most shocking answer.

Seymour claimed that flying a plane seemed rather easy to learn. While in detention, the suspect complained about not fulfilling his duty of flying the Alaska Airlines plane. Eventually, Seymour was charged with felony robbery and felony aggravated burglary. He remains in custody with a bail bond of $500,000.
