Ryan Wellings has since been accused of causing the death of Kiena Dawes in July 2022. But the 30-year-old was recently ruled off as a murder suspect by the jury.

Dawes’ boyfriend, Wellings, answered to an alleged crime in court following her death. The 30-year-old was tried for causing the deceased to commit suicide. But before that, the deceased left a note saying “Ryan Wellings killed me.” The note led the prosecutors to believe that Wellings was to blame.

Per DailyMail, the prosecutors claimed that Wellings’ extreme abuse both physically and mentally drove the victim to her death. They referenced old texts where Dawes addressed the physical assaults. On one occasion, he threatened to take away their toddler daughter. In another instance, Wellings attacked her with a drilling machine. These attacks were almost a thing of the past but then they occurred again in July 2022.

Dawes was a new mom starting her life afresh without any setbacks. She had decided to stay focused on caring for their daughter until July 11, 2022. The young mom was visited by Wellings in her Lancashire home where he threatened and allegedly attacked her. This led Dawes to sustain injuries to her forehead.

The victim of domestic violence alerted the police who arrested the suspect. However, he was released sooner. A week later, Kiena Dawes, who was also a victim of mental health issues, dropped off her child with a friend before she headed to a railway line where she committed suicide.

Apart from pinning the death on Wellings, Dawes blamed the police for their lackadaisical attitude to her complaints. Sources confirmed that some offices are being investigated. Meanwhile, Ryan Wellings was convicted of assault while cleared of murder.
