Who says money doesn’t make you happy? One Virginia man would beg to differ after his big-hearted father gave him the gift of a lifetime.
In April, Aaron Andrews got married and while most of his wedding gifts were likely pots and pans and home goods, his dad gave him a $1 million lottery ticket!
“This was the best way to get him out of my basement,” the benevolent father jokingly told Virginia Lottery officials, WLBT reports.
Andrews’s father loves to play the lottery and he decided to purchase the Virginia Lottery’s Cash4Life drawing. It turned out to be a blessing in more ways than one.
“I have a great father who has done nothing but look out for me,” Andrews said.
His dad chose the $1 million option and gave the ticket to Andrews and his new wife.
“Instead of choosing that himself, he gave the ticket to his son as a wedding present,” according to the lottery officials. “Aaron chose the cash option, which made it a $1 million wedding gift!”
The new millionaire plans to purchase a home for his budding family.
#Clique, we wonder what the generous dad will get as a gift next Father’s Day!
