#Clique the cost of audacity is very high these days.
One New York City couple put a plan in place when they decided to tie the knot. They didn’t just plan what flowers to buy, or what favorite song would play at their upcoming nuptials, but they also decided to charge guests $333 each to help cut costs for 350 guests.
Nova and Reemo Styles had no qualms about charging guests and in fact, they added some special additions to make the celebration a fun fest, like a seat on a double-decker bus for a 12-tour of gritty New York City. The guests would visit The Edge at Hudson Yards and dine on steak and lobster at the dinner reception at One World Trade Center, The Sun reports.
The couple said they saved upwards of $70K at a time when venue prices and wedding costs could run into the tens of thousands.
However, out of the 350 guests, only 60 accepted the invitation with the rest declining the offer.
Many online sided with the guests who declined saying:
“Only 60 guests out of 350. That says a lot.
While another quipped: ‘I would be totally offended being asked to spend $333 per guest. If you can’t afford it don’t do it.”
#Clique, would you pay to attend your friend or family member’s wedding?
