White Woman Disputes Grand Jury’s Verdict, Claims “Edited” Video Led to Exoneration of Two Black Men in R*pe Case

A white woman whose rape allegations against two Black men were dismissed by a grand jury is now claiming that the video evidence that led to their exoneration was edited to misrepresent the events.

Amanda Zawieruszynski had accused John Marks and Freddie Douglas Jr. of sexually assaulting her during a late-night gathering at Marks’ home in Manvel, Texas, The Daily Mail reports.

She alleged that the two men forced her to drink alcohol, removed her bathing suit, and took turns raping her in the pool and inside the house.

However, a grand jury reviewed security footage from Marks’ home, which showed the interactions between Zawieruszynski and the two men, and found no evidence to support her claims.

The footage, which depicted a seemingly consensual encounter, led to the charges being dropped. Marks and Douglas, both of whom faced significant professional and social consequences as a result of the false allegations, later filed lawsuits for wrongful arrest and defamation.

Despite the clear video evidence, Zawieruszynski has denied the authenticity of the footage, claiming it had been edited. She also asserts that the grand jury did not have access to other critical evidence, including a rape kit and medical exams that showed signs of injury, which she argues support her version of events.

Her attorney, Thomas “Trey” Cammack, maintains that Zawieruszynski was the victim of sexual assault and that the video was manipulated to cover up the truth.
