Wingstop Manager Charged After Tossing Hit Grease and Ranch At Customers During Heated Argument

St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office

A video recorded a Wingstop manager allegedly throwing hot grease and tossing ranch at two customers during a fight in a Florida restaurant. Security footage from the Port St. Lucie location on Jan. 28 shows manager Carnael Irene arguing with the women, according to the New York Post

The customers tossed straws over the counter, prompting Irene to leave and quickly return with a metal container of cooking oil, which she threw at them. The upset manager also pushed a co-worker away before splattering oil on the restaurant floor. Officials later apprehended the 19-year-old after finding the two sisters, one a minor, with burn marks on their legs and feet.

The upset manager later told officials she got angry because the customers were “loud, disruptive, and verbally abusive,” even calling her “broke.” As a result of the assault, she was charged with “aggravated child abuse and aggravated battery,” reports The Post. A Wingstop spokesperson confirmed that Irene has since been terminated from her position.
