A woman, with the Reddit username Even_Tangerine15, has taken to Reddit to seek emotional advice about her body and feelings. She posted a story titled “I feel kind of old at 32.” In her story, Original Poster (OP) shared that she was only 32 years old but aging fast. She also couldn’t secure a job or have a good relationship. Redditors reacted to the woman’s story and advised her on what to do. Get more details below.

32 Years Old But Feeling Old

OP started her story by saying she had numerous grey hairs. Her skin also began to sag around the neck, eyes, and forehead. Additionally, her hair was falling out rapidly, so she felt old. Meanwhile, OP shunned makeup since she didn’t feel the need to look pretty anymore. Moreover, she was friendless and childless and didn’t have much luck with dating. Hence, she decided to stay away from relationships. OP added:

“I try to be positive, I’m at peace at least, but part of me wonders if my soulmate is out there looking for me. I think I’d be happier with a soulmate but I don’t want to try anymore at all.”

OP couldn’t work because of her “severe emotional instability.” She also couldn’t pass interviews due to anxiety. The 32-year-old lamented about not being accepted and wished everyone was kinder to her. Unfortunately, the negativity always aggravated her mental condition, leaving her debilitated.

OP concluded by asking:

“What do you experience or expect at this age, or what have you gone through?”

Other Redditors Share Their Thoughts

Several other Redditors read OP’s story and offered her advice. A Redditor with the username Redditboy1998 told OP she needed to stop feeling old and asked how she would feel when she became truly old. Redditboy1998 admonished her to commit to gradually changing her life and health positively. They also noted that existing without working or having friends was destructive.

A second Redditor, Lulusgirl, related to OP’s experience and age. They admitted to plucking their gray hairs and using a skincare routine to manage wrinkles. Lulusgirl also shared how to manage sagging skin using moisturizers and massages. Additionally, they advised OP to cut back on sugary drinks and caffeine. They concluded:

“It really sucks getting older, but it’s also a good thing-being alive long enough to experience things that bring you joy. Even if its in small little bits.”

When another Redditor advised OP to meet a good guy who would make them happy, Lulusgirl balked. They opined that placing one’s happiness on another was unhealthy. It would put the person under pressure, and OP would be destabilized if the relationship ended. Therefore, OP should find happiness first.
