Young Thug has apologized to his girlfriend, Mariah The Scientist, after his jail call video went viral on the internet. The footage revealed the rapper’s perceived infidelity, which led to a backlash. Many condemned Thug’s disloyalty to his longtime girlfriend, who stayed with him through his legal troubles and remained faithful despite his incarceration. The rapper initially denied claims that he was reaching out to other women. However, in his apology, he said he was sorry for the online embarrassment.

Young Thug Apologizes After Jail Call Video

Young Thug issued a public apology to his “baby” on Tuesday, December 24, after his viral jail call clip. He posted the apology on his X, formerly Twitter account, writing

“Sorry to my baby for all this bullshit on the internet. I love u baby and fuck em all we know what’s up with us!”

Thug’s apology came after the public backlash that accompanied the release of some of his jail call videos. In one of the clips, the rapper talked to his friend and lawyer, Geoffrey Ogunlesi, about how he felt toward Mariah.

Thug acknowledged his girlfriend’s love but said she sometimes did “too much.” He also bragged about speaking to “at least ten women a day” while in jail to pass the time. Moreover, he asked his friend to reach out to a lady he wanted to meet after he left jail. Another jail call clip showed Thug talking to Afghan-American model Leena Sayed, who said she didn’t want anyone but Thug. Meanwhile, the latter tried to convince her to move on, and their conversation suggested he cheated on Mariah before he was jailed.
