22-Year-Old Texas Man Arrested For The Fatal Shooting Of 16-Year-Old Girlfriend

On January 16th, at around 10 A.M., the body of a teenaged girl was discovered underneath a blanket near a creek in Dallas, Texas. The victim, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, was identified as 16-year-old Venus Rodriguez, CBS News reports.

When police interviewed the family of Rodriguez, it was discovered that the victim had run away with her boyfriend at the age of 15 last year, when her family disapproved of her then 21-year-old boyfriend, Arturo Flores. While investigating, officers recognized a the blanket used to cover Rodriguez’ body in a photo of Flores’ dog.

According to Dallas Morning News, witnesses say they saw Flores chase Rodriguez down their street and assault her, just weeks before her murder. Neighbors often heard the two yelling and fighting. In an affidavit, Dallas Police Department stated that Flores “showed no emotion and seemed indifferent” about his girlfriend’s murder. While the suspect was being interviewed, neighbors spotted his family members removing and replacing his mattress. Investigators were still able to find evidence of blood in the carpet under the bed, despite Flores’ family efforts.

On January 21st, Flores was arrested and charged with first degree murder. The now 22-year-old is being held at the Dallas County Jail on a $500,000 bond.

TSA Investigates After Hacker Found FBI No-Fly List On Unsecured Server

After terrorist attacks against the United States on September 11th, 2001, a screening program involving airlines was created to compare passenger records with federal data to keep dangerous people from flying to and from the country. Over twenty years later, a hacker, who goes by the name Maia Arson Crimew, infiltrated an unsecured computer server hosted by CommuteAir, a regional airline based in Ohio, CNN reported. Along with the No-fly list, the hacker was able to access the names, birthdays and the last four digits of Social Security numbers of current and former CommuteAir employees.

“It should never be this easy to just completely (breach) an entire airline,” the hacker says. According to CNN, Maia Arson Crimew, who was formerly known as Tillie Kottmann, was indicted by a US grand jury in 2021 for being part of a conspiracy that hacked dozens of companies and government organizations and posted the stolen data online. She claims that she wanted to prove the bias and discrimination towards those with Russian and Arabic sounding names. “It’s just crazy to me how big that Terrorism Screening Database is, and yet, there is still very clear trends towards almost exclusively Arabic and Russian sounding names throughout the million entries.”

Since the data breach, The Transportation Security Administration says they continue the investigation of a “potential cybersecurity incident.” CommuteAir had said in a memo that they are working closely with law enforcement, but that the hacker had accessed “an outdated 2019 version of the federal no-fly list.” They have not yet followed up with comments about the private information of their current and former employees being obtained and released publicly.

Texas Kidnapper Used Fake Name While Dating Victim Was Discovered To Be Married

On January 11th, the friends of Kayla Kelley contacted police in McKinney, Texas after she was not seen or heard from by relatives and coworkers for several days. The next day, her car was found on a deserted country road. Police say the vehicle “had been burned beyond recognition and the incident was not consistent with a natural fire.”

When deputies looked for Kelley at her apartment, they discovered her dog. “The dog was without food and water and had to relieve itself on the floor,” authorities wrote. “It appeared the dog had been in that condition for a few days. Family and relatives advised the dog was like Kelley’s child and she would never leave it unattended for an extended period of time.”

While interviewing the friends and family members of Kelley, it was discovered that she had a boyfriend named “Kevin,” who she initially met online. According to Law And Crime, Kelley had recently learned that he had been married to another woman the entirety of their relationship and she intended to confront him about it.

When police searched Kelley’s phone records, they discovered that the man she knew as “Kevin” was actually Ocastor Shavon Ferguson. Cell phone records of the 32-year-old showed that he had been in the area of Kelley’s apartment and the area that her car was found, and then traveled back to his home in Grand Prairie on January 10th. He has since then refused to cooperate with police and disclose Kelley’s location and her condition.

On Saturday, January 14th, Ferguson was arrested on kidnapping and arson charges. Authorities believe more charges are soon to follow as the investigation continues. He is currently being held at Collin County Sheriff’s Office on a $1 million bond.

  • Armed Movie Theater Security Guard Arrested After Forcing Himself Onto 15-Year-Old Girl In Empty Theater

Armed Movie Theater Security Guard Arrested After Forcing Himself Onto 15-Year-Old Girl In Empty Theater

On January 14th, an unnamed 15-year-old was dropped off at a Regal movie theater in Ocala, Florida by her mother so that she could watch a movie with a group of friends. After the movie had finished, the teen couldn’t get ahold of her mother. When the grandfather of one of her friends came to pick their grandchild up, he “refused to offer the victim a ride home.” A security guard employed at the theater, Augusta J. Williams, “informed the grandfather that he would watch over the victim until she could get a ride home,” Ocala Police Department said in a statement.

Williams then took the teenage girl to an empty theater playing the movie “Whale,” and brought her near the movie screen, behind the curtains. The victim thought that Williams was leading her to an exit so that he could take her home, but then he forced himself onto her. While being interviewed by investigators, the victim stated that she did not wish to engage in any sexual contact with Williams, but she was “fearful because he was armed with a gun.” She pleaded with him to stop, but Williams continued to assault her. He then made threats in order to keep her from reporting him.

After the assault, the victim’s mother was found inside the cinema’s lobby. Her phone hadn’t been working properly, and she wasn’t able to get in contact with her daughter, but went to look for her when she didn’t come home on time. The following day, the victim told her mother about what had happened, and they notified authorities, Law and Crime reported.

Regal’s security footage corroborated with the victims claims and showed Williams taking the teenaged girl into the empty theater, and leaving around twenty minutes later. A UV light behind the curtain also revealed possible physical evidence of the crime. Williams told investigators that he had only “assisted the victim in looking for her lost cell phone,” but the theater that the victim and her friends had watched a movie in was a different theater than the one Williams had taken the victim to.

Augusta J. Williams was attested and charged with sexual battery of a victim under the age of 18. The 31-year-old was taken to Marion County Jail and remains there on a $50,000 bond. He is scheduled to reappear in court February 21st.

“Heinous crimes like this can cause victims to feel paralyzed and overwhelmed, leaving them struggling to take action,” the department said in a statement. “We commend the victim for her strength and courage to come forward to law enforcement and seek justice. We applaud all our officers and staff for their hard work and efforts to make our community safe.”

Man Arrested On Live TV After Toddler Is Seen Roaming Apartment Hallway With Handgun

On Saturday night, those watching Reelz’s “On Patrol Live” saw police in Beech Grove, Indiana arrest a man after his son was seen roaming an apartment hallway with a firearm, NBC News reported.

In the beginning of the live streamed segment, police arrive to an apartment complex after someone called to notify authorities that a toddler was seen with a gun. After officers spoke with the child’s father, they begin to leave but are stopped by the caller, who had captured the incident on his Ring camera.

In the video, the young boy is seen alone and wandering outside of the apartment, wearing nothing but a diaper. Footage shows him waving a firearm around, cooing happily as he plays while unsupervised. He eventually re-enters through the apartment’s front door, calling out to his mother.

“That’s absolutely tough to see,” the live show’s analyst and former police sergeant Sean Larkin comments as he watches. “You could see the kid was clearly pulling the trigger. Had it been chambered, loaded, it could have been a horrific, horrific situation. There’s a point that he’s holding it up, and it’s literally, it almost looks like it’s pointing up toward his own face.”

Beech Grove police immediately returned to the apartment to search for the weapon. They eventually found a loaded 9mm Smith & Wesson inside a closed roll-top desk. The boy’s father, who cannot legally own a firearm due to being an ex-con, was arrested and charged with neglect of a dependent and providing a firearm to a child.

“We hear these type of stories where kids come across and find these firearms, and these horrific results that do happen sometimes,” Larkin later says. “But seeing it on video is definitely very different.”

Louisiana Woman Arrested For Stabbing Boyfriend After He Urinated In Their Bed

On Saturday, January 14th, deputies of the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana responded to a stabbing victim at a local hospital, New York Post reported. The alleged victim, who was being treated for a punctured lung and stab wound on the left side of his torso, claims that he was stabbed by his girlfriend for urinating in their bed in his sleep after a night of heavy drinking.

The 25-year-old told police that in the middle of her confronting him, her boyfriend began hitting and choking her. After attempting to fight the bed-wetter off, she allegedly stabbed him in self-defense.

After the incident occurred, Lacost performed simple first aid, but his injuries were too great and she took him to a nearby hospital. There, she was arrested and charged with second-degree attempted murder.

Texas Judge Sets $1 Bond For Repeat Offender Accused Of Kidnapping And Beating Woman

In September of 2021, Texas Governor Gregg Abbott signed Senate Bill 6, a bill banning the release of people accused of violent crimes on personal bonds. Instead, the accused will be able to post the amount of cash set by the court, or pay a percentage to a bail bonds company, The Texas Tribune explains.

“SB 6 is built on right-wing hysteria that violates Texans’ rights, not on public safety,” Laquita Garcia with the Texas Organizing Project said in a statement. “If implemented, this bill will lead to more overcrowding in jails and further criminalize poverty in our state, meaning more Texans- a disproportionate amount being Black and Latino, will stay stuck in jail solely because they cannot afford bail.”

Last Friday, 43-year-old Aubrey Taylor appeared at a bond hearing for assault and kidnapping charges. He’s accused of holding his victim in his car for several days and repeatedly choking her and beating her, Fox 26 Houston reported. Despite him being a violent offender, he was given a mere $1 cash bond.

“You’ve got eight prior felony convictions, two of them for robbery,” said Andy Kahan with Crime Stoppers. “He’s charged with two serious violent offenses. If I’m outraged, I can’t imagine what the victim in this case must be going through considering all she did.”

Judge Josh Hill, who gave the bond, says he was making his feelings known for the Senate Bill 6. Despite his seemingly good intentions, he’s now put the life of Taylor’s victim in danger in the process of his protesting.

“Someone has accused you, you’re in jail, you’re angry, who’s the person you’re thinking about,” questions criminal defense attorney Emily Detoto. “Who are you fuming over and who’s the first person you want to go be angry with? It’s the person who put you there, right? That needs to be rethought.”

  • London Cop Revealed As “One Of The Worst Ever Serial Rapists In The UK”

London Cop Revealed As “One Of The Worst Ever Serial Rapists In The UK”

David Carrick has worked as a police police officer with the London’s Metropolitan Police since the year 2000. After working worked in an elite armed unit, tasked with guarding embassies and parliament for over 20 years, the 48-year-old is now being regarded as one of the worst serial rapists in modern criminal history in the UK, Vice reported.

On January 16th, Carrick pleaded guilty to 49 offences including 24 counts of rape, nine counts of sexual assault, and five counts of assault by penetration. It has now been revealed that Carrick had admitted to 43 other charges, including 20 counts of rape, in court last year.

“He invested time in developing relationships with women to sustain his appetite for degradation and control,” explained Iain Moor, who led the investigation of Carrick. “The coercive nature of his offending undermined his victims in the most destructive way. Many of the rape offences came with violence against the victim, who would have been physically injured.”

According to Vice, the Metropolitan Police had been notified about nine incidents between the years 2000 and 2021, but took no action due to his accusers “mysteriously” withdrawing their complaints. Assistant Commissioner Barbara Gray has since apologized for not removing Carrick from his position sooner, despite the multiple women reporting him.

“We should have spotted his pattern of abusive behavior and because we didn’t, we missed opportunities to remove him from the organization,” she said. “We are truly sorry that being able to continue to use his role as a police officer may have prolonged the suffering of his victims.”
