A new lawsuit claims Kanye West, 46, asked his project manager and property caretaker Tony Saxon, 32, to convert his Malibu home into a retro bomb shelter, where he could allegedly hide from the Clintons and Kardashians. Saxon says he was fired for refusing to redo Ye’s beach house he bought in 2021 for $57 million. Saxon says Ye wanted no windows, plumbing nor electricity, and wanted to replace the stairs with slides.
“[Ye wants] a bomb shelter from the 1910s. We were going to be gutting everything out and sort of building him a Bat Cave [where he said he could] hide from the Clintons and Kardashians. He wanted no electricity. He only wanted plants, candles, battery lights; and to have everything open and dark. You can’t keep food in that house, because you had no refrigerator left. You had no windows. I had sea gulls flying in.”
Saxon said Ye didn’t want to be a
“slave”
to modern conveniences, nor be
“accessible”
to the government;
“he wants to be on a privatized Wi-Fi network and have an alternate source of energy.”
He said the living conditions were
“miserable,”
and he even began experiencing a severe back injury, which Ye allegedly ignored.
Three days later, Ye had a team meeting and told Saxon to bring in large generators, but when he refused, he was allegedly told to
“get the hell out. If you don’t do what I say, you’re not going to work for me, I’m not gonna be your friend anymore and you’ll just see me on TV.”
Saxon said he was fired on Nov. 5, 2021, after 2 months on the job. Saxon said Ye promised him $20,000/week and only paid him twice; so he’s suing for wrongful retaliatory termination, unpaid wages, and labor code violations (hazardous working conditions). His suit was filed by the same attorneys who are suing Ye over similar

Sean “Diddy” Combs has scored a first-round victory in his lawsuit against Diageo, the liquor company that owns Ciroc vodka. In a ruling on Friday, New York Supreme Court Judge Joel M. Cohen denied Diageo’s motion to dismiss the lawsuit, which alleges that the company discriminated against Combs and other Black entrepreneurs in its marketing of Ciroc.
The lawsuit, which was filed in May 2023, claims that Diageo has used
“coded language”
and
“stereotypes”
to market Ciroc to Black consumers, while simultaneously marketing the brand to white consumers as a
“luxury”
product. The lawsuit also alleges that Diageo has excluded Black entrepreneurs from its marketing and distribution channels, and that it has refused to give them the same opportunities as white entrepreneurs.
In his ruling, Judge Cohen said that Combs had
“plausibly alleged”
that Diageo had discriminated against him and other Black entrepreneurs. He also said that the lawsuit could proceed to the discovery phase, where both sides will be able to gather evidence.
“The complaint alleges that Diageo has engaged in a pattern and practice of discrimination against Black entrepreneurs in the marketing and distribution of Ciroc,”
Judge Cohen wrote.
“These allegations are sufficient to state a claim for discrimination.”
The ruling is a major victory for Combs and his legal team, and it could have implications for other Black entrepreneurs who have faced discrimination in the alcohol industry. Diageo has denied the allegations of discrimination, and it has said that it will appeal the ruling.

Despite being one of the most booked actors in Hollywood over the past decade, Actor Billy Porter continues to speak out over the SAG-AFTRA strike. Porter, who is a member of the union, said to TMZ that he has
“venom and rage”
for the studios, which he blames for the strike. He also said that he is trying to find

The strike began on August 18, 2023, and is over stalled negotiations between SAG-AFTRA and Hollywood studios over issues such as pay equity, diversity, and residuals. Porter has been vocal in his support of the strike, and has also been critical of the studios’ handling of the negotiations.
It remains to be seen how long the strike will last and what the outcome will be. However, Porter’s comments suggest that the actors are determined to fight for their rights.
One of the African-American top artists, Aliaune Damala Bouga Time Puru Nacka Lu Lu Lu Badara Akon Thiam, popularly known as Akon, recently let out his master strategy on how he maintains his wealth. As reported by the Daily Post, the famed artist had a chat in the latest episode of Impulsive Podcast, where he revealed how stinginess helps him stay rich.

Although Akon’s choice of the word

may not sit well with some people, his concerns are not out of place. There are tales of very rich celebrities that went from up there to zilch financially.
According to Denver police, a decked-out open-air tavern for the homeless that also rents out tents for prostitution has popped up in the downtown area. It features lounge chairs, umbrellas and Astroturf — has taken over the sidewalk at 23rd and Champa streets, which the city’s growing homeless population has turned into an encampment.
One of the tents appeared to have been transformed into a speakeasy, complete with numerous couches, rugs and tables.
The spot was littered with dozens of liquor bottles — all of which were empty and displayed proudly on thrifted dressers and bookcases when police rolled through earlier this week.
City officials have received “numerous complaints” about the encampment, blocking the sidewalk, forcing pedestrians to walk in the street to pass the block. As of now police are investigating the situation, they say a report on street mortality showed that in 2022, drugs and alcohol were the cause of 60% of homeless deaths. They say because of this, they want to hone in on the situation and resolve it.
Sending and receiving mails on Google is about to get more interesting as a newly discovered set of codes discloses plans for Gmail to include emoji reactions soon. The Times of India reports that Steve Mosser first spotted this IOS Gmail update, and TheSpAndroid was the first to discover the update for Android. These sets of codes that give room for users to respond to emails using emojis were spotted in the IOS Gmail app.
Another piece of evidence has solidified the possibility of the emoji feature being included in Gmail. The latest Android Gmail APK, as reported by AssembleDebug, also includes some lines of codes that further buttress the upcoming feature. For these codes to be discovered both on IOS and Android, there’s a high chance of it being true.
Although details are scanty at the moment, a line from the code states that the update is coming soon. Another line also says,
“you are among the first Gmail users to get an emoji reaction.”
This suggests that the incoming feature may first be available to select users before it will be availed to the general public.
It is yet to be seen how Google is planning to implement emoji reactions in Gmail. However, AssembleDebug believes that users may be able to access the feature from the email screen or the three-dot overflow menu, which at this time is disabled.
It is also noteworthy that Microsoft Outlook already had this feature. Also, the Gmail emoji update may come with some restrictions, which include encrypted messages will not support reactions, messages can only support up to 20 emoji reactions from a single individual, email threads with “large groups” will not support reactions, emails received via BCC won’t support reactions, and Messages can only support up to 50 unique emoji reactions.
Google is yet to release an official statement about the emoji update on Gmail. However, The Verge reports that Google spokesperson Madison Cushman asked them to stay tuned when they reached out for confirmation.
