  • Timothée Chalamet Takes on the Role of Willy Wonka

Timothée Chalamet Takes on the Role of Willy Wonka

Hey fans and Timothée lovers, gather around! Our favorite actor is now the new Willy Wonka. I can’t contain my excitement for this one. The movie focuses on a young Willy Wonka and his early adventures with the Oompa-Loompas.

    “Wonka”

Is an upcoming musical fantasy film that serves as a prequel to the 1971 classic

“Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,”

    Based on the 1964 novel

    “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”

In the film, Timothée Chalamet plays the title role of Willy Wonka, portraying his early days as a quirky chocolatier.

This movie tells the story of how Willy Wonka transformed from a young adult selling chocolate in a small candy store to a world-renowned and eccentric genius. It provides insights into his life before he entered the chocolate business, what motivated his decision, and the factors that shaped him.

According to Chalamet, he was the first and only choice of director Paul King for the role, who noticed his impressive vocal and dancing skills from his YouTube performances during high school.

  • Jamie Foxx and Jurnee Smollett Star In ‘The Burial’

Jamie Foxx and Jurnee Smollett Star In ‘The Burial’

Courtroom dramas are definitely my absolute favorite. The intriguing storyline, camera shots, and angles, as well as the lovely compositions, make for a delicious litigation drama.

Willie Gary is one hell of a litigation attorney in this thrilling crime drama. He’s a flamboyant lawyer with so much style, a love for abstract music, and an interesting personality.

This film is set in the year 1995 and is a retelling of a real-life court case. It revolves around bankrupt funeral home owner Jeremiah O’Keefe (Tommy Lee Jones) who seeks to sue the far larger funeral home company, Loewen Group, over a contract dispute. When O’Keefe is told that he will be standing trial in a predominantly black courtroom, he is referred to Willie E. Gary (Jamie Foxx), who takes him on as a client.

This film exposes a complex web of race, power, and injustice. I love the production design with its old set feel, texture, and the smell of fresh wood used for building set designs. The warm and emotional tone of the film separates each frame from the next.

This is a film for lovers of history, politics, and justice. It also embraces classic elements such as good old red lipstick, high-shine fabrics with colorful costumes, soft curly hairstyles that smell like coconut oil, and vintage aesthetics.

The cinematography in this film compels its audience to step into a world we live in every day. It showcases people fighting behind closed doors with real-life stories that become a film and a moment in later times.

In the trailer, when we are introduced to Mame Downes aka

    ‘The Python’

Played by Jurnee Smollett in the courtroom, she stands with her head held high, ready to win this case. It’s truly an iconic girl power move.

Each character is framed differently, and the lighting brings so much warmth to the story. The color red is a predominant color in every scene and frame.

This film is definitely one for the books and will have you delving deep into history.

  • Asante Blackk Stars In ‘Story Ave’

Asante Blackk Stars In ‘Story Ave’

Concrete jungle where dreams are made of, Story Ave is definitely one hell of a tale with intriguing characters and a beautiful, beguiling storyline. Kadir Grayson, played by Asante Blackk, showcases the versatility of this promising young black actor with a performance that goes deeper than life itself, depicting the struggles faced by many passionate black boys in the art world.

Kadir, a talented teenage graffiti artist who ran away from home, navigates the painful obstacles of life while battling his own thoughts and evading street gangs. It’s a

    “Monumental Survival Of Life Story,”

    Perfectly describing this film.

The production design sets a warm tone and rough texture, showcasing the scenery, people, and lifestyle while capturing the gritty essence that leaves you eagerly awaiting the next scene. This is a story that encapsulates the beauty, street life, and talented individuals of the Bronx.

Without a doubt, this is a movie you should definitely watch. It’s not often that a robbery goes right and forever changes the lives of those involved.

#Clique, make sure to catch this movie as soon as it’s out and let me know your thoughts!

  • Nicolas Cage Stars In ‘Dream Scenario’

Nicolas Cage Stars In ‘Dream Scenario’

How creepy would it get when friends, family and random strangers walk up to you and say

“hey I’ve been seeing you in my dreams”,

Yeap; you heard right. It gets even crazy when they go further to say

“you don’t do anything, you just stand there”,

Hold that thought; it gets creepier when this brings you fame, admiration, and love from people at the same time becomes your downfall.

Nicolas Cage plays a character you probably wouldn’t notice in real life: Paul Matthews, a schlubby, balding man in rumpled pants and brown leather loafers, he’s a tenured evolutionary biology professor desperate to get published despite not writing. The opening scene of the trailer let’s us into a chaotic world, a thrilling space with flicking lights.

Paul starts to appear in people’s dreams, either standing around or just strolling through, and suddenly this all-but-invisible man has people paying attention to him. The music raises the pulse in every scene, it’s an entertaining dark comedy movie, Cage’s performance is pure comedy, It’s different from your favorite films from Nicolas, he’s at the top of his game, like Paul, Nicolas feels so special performing in this film, most actors only dream of a role as memorable as Paul Matthews.

What does Paul do? What would you do in those terrible shoes of his? The movie’s point of identification here is Paul, so it’s slightly unusual but also the most entertaining thing about the movie “Dream Scenario” allows us into the subconscious of other characters. Paul may appear in their dreams, but he’s not the one making it happen, and he has no access to those memories.
