Chicago Woman Missing After Disappearing From Yoga Retreat In The Bahamas, Reports Say

The family of a Chicago woman is expressing deep concern for her safety after she went missing during a yoga retreat in the Bahamas. Taylor Casey, 41 years old, was last seen on Paradise Island on Wednesday, as reported by the Royal Bahamas Police Force, per Huff Post.

According to a statement from a family representative, Casey, who has been practicing yoga for 15 years, had traveled to the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat Bahamas

“to fulfill a long-term goal of deepening her practice.”

The retreat center became alarmed when Casey did not attend her morning class on Thursday and subsequently requested authorities to investigate.

“The Ashram is asking anyone with information on Ms. Casey to contact the local police,”

the retreat center told the outlet.

“In the interim, it is collaborating with the authorities on their investigation.”

In the family’s press release, mother Colette Seymore said she thinks Casey

“is in danger because she was eager to share her yoga retreat experience with others upon her return”

    to the U.S.

“Taylor would never disappear like this,”

said Seymore, who is now heading to the Bahamas to help find her daughter. Earlier this year, the U.S. State Department issued a travel advisory for the Caribbean country, saying,

“Violent crime, such as burglaries, armed robberies, and sexual assaults, occur in both tourist and non-tourist areas.”

Chicago Teen Graduates With Doctoral Degree At Just 17 Years Old

Chicago teen, Dorothy Jean Tillman II, also known as “Dorothy Jeanius,” becomes the youngest person to graduate with a doctoral degree from Arizona State University, at just age 17. Starting her higher-education journey at 10 years old, Tillman has since earned her associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, and now a doctoral degree in integrated behavioral health. Her remarkable achievement makes her the youngest person to accomplish this feat.

“It’s a wonderful celebration, and we hope … that Dorothy Jean inspires more students,”

associate professor, Leslie Manson told Good Morning America.

“But this is still something so rare and unique.”

Dorothy has achieved remarkable educational milestones at a young age. She began college courses at 10 years old and earned her associate’s degree in psychology in 2016. She later obtained a bachelor’s degree in humanities in 2018 and a master’s degree in science in 2020. Tillman was accepted into Arizona State University’s Behavioral Health Management Program in 2021. Despite most of her coursework being online, she attended her commencement ceremony and addressed her fellow graduates.

Tillman credits her grandmother and mother for her educational pursuits and successes.

“Everything that we were doing didn’t seem abnormal to me or out of the ordinary until it started getting all of the attention,”

    said Tillman, now 18.

Tillman is also the founder and CEO of the Dorothyjeanius STEAM Leadership Institute. The institute includes summer camps aimed at supporting young people in the fields of arts and STEM. Tillman has plans to engage in public speaking events and fundraising activities to further support the camp. She also envisions the possibility of franchising in the future.

“I’m just grateful that the world is my oyster and that I’ve done so much so young,”

    Tillman told GMA.

  • Man Files $75 Million Lawsuit Against 27 Women Accusing Him Of Serial Ghosting On A Facebook Group

Man Files $75 Million Lawsuit Against 27 Women Accusing Him Of Serial Ghosting On A Facebook Group

A man from Chicago is taking legal action against multiple women who posted negative reviews on the

“Are We Dating The Same Guy”

    Facebook group, describing him as

    “clingy”

    and a serial

    “ghoster,”

    per the NY Post.

Nikko D’Ambrosio, 32, alleges that he suffered from defamation, doxxing, and invasion of privacy when his name and photo were shared in the Chicago edition of the Facebook group. D’Ambrosio is suing 27 women who have been specifically named, including the moderators of the group. Additionally, there are several unnamed individuals referred to as Jane Does, and various divisions of Facebook’s parent company, Meta, are also involved. He is seeking $75 million in damages as a result.

D’Ambrosio claims that he had a consensual sexual encounter with the woman who made the initial post after meeting at an event in Chicago. They went on a few

    “unremarkable”

dates but did not enter into an exclusive dating relationship. D’Ambrosio claims the woman told lies including that he got

    “very clingy very fast,”

    flaunted his money, and

“kept talking about how I don’t want to see his bad side, especially when he was on business calls.”

The complaint says that the woman initially shared the post under her real name but later deleted and reposted it anonymously after his lawyers reached out to her. Her post led to a barrage of comments from other women who claimed to have had similar experiences with him.

“The defendants broadcast their outrageous, cruel, and malicious lies about the plaintiff with knowledge that the statements were false or with reckless disregard as whether or not they were true,”

    the complaint states.

Chicago Police Officer Fired and Charged for Falsely Reporting Armed Robbery Involving $5K

A Chicago police officer has lost her job after she was caught fabricating a story about being held at gunpoint and robbed of thousands of dollars, reports the NY Post

Officer Zondranika Williams, aged 37, has been charged with felony disorderly conduct and false report of an offense. She was relieved of her duties with the Chicago Police Department two days before her court hearing.

The incident occurred on September 23 when Williams called 911 to report the robbery, claiming that she had been robbed of $5,000 in cash near her garage. According to local reports, she alleged that the suspect was armed and shouted,

    “Give me everything you got!”

It was later discovered that the entire incident was a fabrication.

Williams told fellow officers that her surveillance cameras were not functioning at the time. However, investigators managed to obtain footage from a nearby neighbor’s camera, which revealed that Williams was alone in the alley. The footage showed her removing a duffel bag from her car before walking out of view of the camera.

She turned herself in on Tuesday, as reported by the news station. Williams, who had served as a police officer for eight years, was promptly terminated by The Chicago Police Department, according to a statement provided to CBS. The reasons behind Williams’ alleged fabrication of the robbery remain unclear.
