Teacher Terminated for Allegedly Hitting Students with Yardstick for Taking Too Long to Wash Hands

A mother is furious after claims that a teacher struck her child with a yardstick for taking too long to wash her hands, as reported by MIRROR.

According to the mother, the incident took place at Sousa Middle School in Washington DC, where a teacher allegedly swatted her 14-year-old daughter’s bottom while she was washing her hands after a science project. The mother stated that the incident occurred just as the school bell rang, with the teacher urging her daughter to hurry up. The student later reported the incident to the school counselor.

The District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) is currently looking into the incident. Janel Doy Johnson, the mother of the teenager, told FOX5 that there are reportedly additional allegations of inappropriate behavior involving the teacher. The student also alleged that the teacher placed a brush given by another student into his pocket, suggesting that he did this so she would have to reach into his pocket to retrieve it.

In response, school principal Brittany Green-Pascal sent a letter to parents stating,

“I am writing to make you aware that an allegation of corporal punishment has recently been made against a Sousa staff member. DCPS treats any allegation of employee misconduct with the greatest importance.”

The letter also stated that the staff member has been put on leave and will not be returning to the school during the ongoing investigation, as reported by Fox5.

  • California School Reaches Settlement with Middle School Student Who Was Suspended for Allegedly Wearing ‘Blackface’ at Football Game

California School Reaches Settlement with Middle School Student Who Was Suspended for Allegedly Wearing ‘Blackface’ at Football Game

A California middle school student was suspended for allegedly wearing “blackface” to a football game in October 2023. His record has since been cleared as part of a settlement with the school, as reported by the NY Post. He claimed he was merely wearing eye black, a typical practice in various sports.

Daniel Ameduri filed a lawsuit against Muirlands Middle School in La Jolla, California, on behalf of his son, J.A.. The incident wich took place on October 13, 2023, led to a two-day suspension and a ban from attending district sporting events.

“The false allegations of blackface on J.A.’s permanent school records could have haunted him for decades, affecting both his education and future career opportunities,” Karin Sweigart, J.A.’s lawyer and Dhillon Law Group counsel, said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

The settlement was approved by the court on February 24, effectively eliminating J.A.’s two-day suspension from his record. As part of the agreement, district officials and employees are prohibited from mentioning the suspension in any communications with others. “It’s a relief that the school district has finally corrected this injustice,” Sweigart added. “No student should have to fight to clear their name over baseless accusations, which is why organizations like the Center for American Liberty exist—to ensure fairness and protect fundamental rights.”

J.A., who is currently a freshman in high school, was in 8th grade at the time of the incident. In a statement to Fox News Digital, Mark Trammell, Center for American Liberty executive director said, “We are so proud of J.A. and his family. When students and parents stand up to this woke nonsense in schools, they win. Let J.A.’s win be a lesson to students and parents everywhere.”

Teachers Suspended After Texas Middle School Students Shared Needles for Mass Tattoo Sessions in Classroom

Parents are furious after their children took part in a mass tattooing session at a Texas middle school, where they circulated needles among multiple classrooms, all while their unaware teachers continued with their lessons, as reported by the NY Post

On Tuesday, the students allegedly used temporary ink to tattoo each other with the shared needle, leading officials to worry that they might have also exposed themselves to potential infections. “How is it that these kids are getting tattoos in class and not one teacher noticed it?” mother Ashley Armstrong told Fox 4 News.

Armstrong’s 11-year-old son, Jordan, used a contaminated needle to write “I heart my lord” across his forearm and “JC” on his hands. The incident happened on Tuesday while in his classroom at Travis Intermediate in Greenville, about 50 miles northeast of Dallas. Jordan noted that a boy approached him with the offer to tattoo him. That needle was “shared several times from one class to another class to another class,” Armstrong told the outlet.

The school nurse called Armstrong to inform her of the troubling incident and advised her to get blood tests done right away. Thankfully, the results came back negative for any diseases. Armstrong reprimanded Jordan, reminding him that “he knows better,” but she expressed concern over how the teachers allowed this underage tattooing to escalate.

On Thursday, Greenville ISD addressed parent’s concerns, announcing that several teachers from the classrooms involved have been suspended while an investigation is ongoing. “Greenville ISD is aware of an incident at Travis Intermediate School where students gave each other tattoos using temporary ink and the same needle,” the district said in a statement.

Intoxicated Middle School Teaching Assistant Arrested After Student Accidentally Drinks Her Vodka, Mistaking It For Mountain Dew

A teaching assistant (TA) at a middle school in Georgia was arrested and fired after a student mistakenly drank her bottle of vodka, thinking it was Mountain Dew, per the NY Post

    The TA, Alexandra

    “Nicole”

Lambert, 39, was let go from Morgan County Middle School after a student took a sip from her bottle, believing it to be soda. The student realized the mistake and reported it to another teacher, who then brought the issue to the principal’s attention. Lambert admitted that the bottle contained vodka but claimed it was brought to school accidentally.

Morgan County Sheriff’s deputies were called and conducted a breathalyzer test, which revealed Lambert’s blood-alcohol level to be 0.259, more than three times the legal limit for driving in Georgia. Lambert was subsequently arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, specifically public drunkenness. She was then booked at the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office Adult Detention Facility.

Morgan County Charter Schools acknowledged the incident in a statement addressed to parents and guardians, adding that Lambert

“is no longer employed with our district.”

  • Private School Teacher Allegedly Sexually Assaulted Teen In Park, Gifted Him Gun For Birthday

Private School Teacher Allegedly Sexually Assaulted Teen In Park, Gifted Him Gun For Birthday

A private Christian school teacher in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, has been accused of sexually assaulting an eighth-grade student, per the NY Post

The alleged perpetrator, Tyesha Bolden, 34, reportedly had an inappropriate relationship with the boy, which included exchanging over 2,200 text messages, some of which contained explicit content. Bolden has been released on a $2,500 bond after being charged with second-degree child sex assault and providing a dangerous weapon to a child.

According to police, in June, Bolden took the boy to a wooded park, where the assault is said to have occurred. The victim later revealed that he asked Bolden to buy him a Glock 19 handgun, as he felt the need for protection. Shockingly, Bolden not only purchased the gun and ammunition but also gifted it to the teenager for his 14th birthday, along with some books.

The situation came to light when the victim’s parents discovered inappropriate photos, including a topless selfie of Bolden, on their son’s phone. In July, the teen asked Bolden for money and another gun, but she only provided the money. Shortly after, the victim went missing, and it was suspected that he might be staying at Bolden’s residence. Police located him in possession of the same gun his teacher had bought him.

Upon learning of the allegations against Bolden, the school promptly fired her.

If convicted, she could face up to 40 years in prison.

  • Jewish Teacher Resigned After Receiving Antisemitic Harassment From 12-Year-Old Student

Jewish Teacher Resigned After Receiving Antisemitic Harassment From 12-Year-Old Student

A Jewish middle school teacher in Massachusetts decided to resign from his position after encountering antisemitic harassment from his 12-year-old student, NY Post reported.

Morrison Robblee, 25, was a sixth-grade social studies teacher at the Nessacus Regional Middle School in Dalton until his resignation. According to Robblee, the harassment began in April after he showed up to school in a yarmulke, a skull cap worn by Orthodox Jewish men. The student began making hateful comments towards Robblee and was sent to detention. However, that did not stop the child from returning with a

“sketch of Hitler standing over a dead person labeled ‘Jew,’ surrounded by swastikas and canisters labeled ‘gas,’”

    Robblee told Insider.

Robblee believes the student’s rage towards him is stemming from a prior incident that occurred at the beginning of the year where the child allegedly made homophobic comments and was removed from the class. Robblee claims to have dealt with weeks of harassment from the student. He told Insider that the harassment even spilled over into the hallways and that the boy continued to make jokes about the Holocaust, including gas chambers. He also revealed that the student also emailed him insults about his teaching.

The student now faces a misdemeanor charge of criminal harassment.

Robblee says he doesn’t feel like he was receiving the same support from school administrators, however. Robblee was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation into him making a face at the child in the hallway. Robblee admitted to Insider that he stuck his tongue out at the boy in a second of frustration after the child cursed at him.

“I am not bothered by the ignorant comments of a child,”

Robblee reportedly wrote in a statement to the Central Berkshire Regional School District to be read at a meeting to end the boy’s suspension.

“I am bothered that, without proper intervention, this hate will continue to fester.”

  • Teacher Suspended After Allowing Student to Dress as KKK Grand Wizard for Extra Credit

Teacher Suspended After Allowing Student to Dress as KKK Grand Wizard for Extra Credit

A Kentucky middle school teacher has been suspended pending investigation after allowing a student to dress as the Ku Klux Klan’s first Grand Wizard for an extra credit assignment, reports the NY Post

The teacher, who reportedly works at Southern Middle School in Kentucky, approved an eighth-graders request to portray Nathan Bedford Forrest, a Confederate soldier, and the KKK’s first Grand Wizard. The request included dressing up in a full Klansman hood and robe, according to LEX 18.

A video of the student wearing the disturbing gown, in a school bus, was posted online, and quickly made its rounds. Parents are now asking for the teacher to be fired.

“That teacher should be ashamed of herself,”

Jane Leclercq, a grandmother of one of the middle school students, told the local outlet.

“Why would a teacher actually approve something like that? I don’t understand, I’m outraged, it’s ridiculous.”

Pulaski County Superintendent Patrick Richardson confirmed that the district has suspended the teacher following several complaints.

“I am extremely disappointed and embarrassed by this incident. I am deeply apologetic of this situation, and I am taking immediate steps to address this matter,”

    Richardson said in a statement.

However, one of the Southern Middle School students, who shared the TikTok video of the outfit on the bus, defended the teacher and student.

“He came in on Friday morning trying to wear it in school, so she took it from him and told him he could wear it during the assignment and she would give it back to him at the end of the day,”

    the child explained.

“There’s no reason to be offended by it,”

the classmate said regarding the costume.

“You can’t be mad over a school assignment that teaches history, you have to learn history to make sure you don’t redo it.”
