A Connecticut man has been arrested after confessing to killing his wife and sending photos of her body to her “new boyfriend,” Law And Crime reports.

On April 16th, at around 3:20 P.M., Pedro Grajalez entered Hartford Police Department’s headquarters and told a front desk officer that he had stabbed his wife to death. According to police documents, the 52-year-old then took out his phone, showed him photos he had taken of a stabbed woman, and stated that her body was in a vehicle just outside of the building.

After detaining Grajalez, the officer located the vehicle and discovered 57-year-old Nilda Rivera alive, but unresponsive. She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where she later succumbed to her wounds. Medical professionals who attempted to save Rivera say she “sustained upwards of twenty-five puncture wounds to her chest, head, face, and arms.”

When investigators asked Grajalez what led him to kill his wife, the suspect explained that he had recently discovered that Rivera was having an affair with another man. He claims that after stabbing her, he sent a photo of the aftermath to her “new boyfriend” as revenge.

Three Louisiana men are now in police custody after fatally shooting a pregnant woman in a case of mistaken identity, Law And Crime reports.

On April 16th, at around 12:30 A.M., 36-year-old Kerisha Johnson arrived to a home in North Carrollton to pick up friends from a house party. As she pulled up, three men who were crouching across the street began shooting at her white sedan. After Johnson was struck, the shooters fled the scene.

Multiple witnesses identified the shooters, who were then located and brought in for questioning. According to police documents, each of the three men told detectives that they mistook Johnson’s car for another that had driven by and fired multiple shots into the air as it passed the party earlier in the night.

“It was just senseless,” said Deanna Williams, Johnson’s childhood friend. “She was an innocent person.”

Marques Porch, Gregory Parker, and Derrick Curry, who are all 19-years-old, were arrested and each charged with one count of second-degree murder and one count of first-degree feticide. Porch, a corrections officer for the West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office and the owner of the car the suspects used to flee the shooting, admitted to providing Parker and Curry with the firearms used for killing Johnson. Cult Members Found Starved to Death in Forest After Fasting for Jesus

Four people have died and eleven people have been hospitalized after starving themselves in order to see Jesus, The Standard reported.

On Thursday, police in Nairobi, Kenya received multiple reports about a group of “ignorant citizens who were starving to death in pretext to meet Jesus after being brainwashed by suspect Makenzie Nthenge, a pastor of Good News International Church.” Nthenge allegedly instructed his devout followers to go without food and water to avoid “apocalyptic damnation” and be visited by Jesus Christ himself.

After searching Shakahola village in the Magarini Constituency, 15 people were rescued. Four of those found tragically died as they were transported to a nearby hospital. The remaining 11, including two children, are in critical conditions. After announcing Nthenge’s arrest, officials say they are continuing to search for more victims.

Last month, Nthenge was arrested for the deaths of two babies. The pastor is accused of brainwashing two parents into killing their children in order to become “heroes” in the eyes of God. After their murders, Nthenge buried them in a shallow grave. He was later released on a Kenyan SH1000,000 bond ($742).

Colorado Man Buried In Cement Was Killed By “Best Friend”

Two people are now in police custody after the body of a missing man was found encased in cement under a condo. According to Inside Edition, 38-year-old Haskel Leroy Crawford has been arrested and charged for the murder, and his ex-wife, 29-year-old Casie Bock, has been charged with accessory to homicide after she allegedly helped Crawford hide the body.

On April 1st, police in Aurora, Colorado received a phone call from the family of Karl Beaman. They claimed to have not spoken with 36-year-old in 11 months, which was unusual. They had wanted to reach out to his closest friend, Crawford, but he was already in jail on unrelated charges of attempted first-degree murder related to another case.

After receiving no help from authorities, Beaman’s family created a Facebook page to help locate him, where they received an anonymous message. “He’s buried under Casie Bock’s apartment in the crawlspace, under cement. Her and Leroy [Crawford] did it. I’m sorry,” the tipster wrote.

While being interviewed by police, Bock says she had returned home from work and found Crawford in her condo. Beside him, she saw Beaman lying on the floor with a plastic bag over his head. She claims that Crawford threatened to harm her if she did not help him move and hide the body.

The cause of Beaman’s death is pending a review by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office. Meanwhile, his family has created a GoFundMe page to help pay for funeral expenses.

Seattle Man Sentenced To Over 46 Years In Prison After Fatally Shooting Tenants And Stuffing Their Bodies Into Suitcases

A Seattle landlord who murdered two of his tenants, dismembered them, and dumped their remains into the ocean, was sentenced to more than 46 years in prison, Fox 13 Seattle reported.

On June 19th, 2020, a group of teenagers noticed suitcases that had washed up on Alki Beach in Seattle, Washington. When the teens approached them, they were hit with the smell of decomposing bodies, and they immediately notified authorities. After deputies from the King County Sheriff’s Office arrived, the suitcases were opened, and human remains were discovered. Three days later, deputies found another suitcase in a nearby waterway containing more the same.

The remains were identified as that of 35-year-old Jessica Lewis and her partner 27-year-old Austin Wenner. According to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, the couple had died from multiple gunshot wounds June 9th, ten days before their remains were discovered.

A thorough investigation led detectives to 64-year-old Michael Dudley, the victims’ landlord. Though police never located the murder weapon, the suitcases containing the remains of Lewis and Wenner were later determined to have belonged to Dudley. His cell phone data also placed him near the vicinity of Alki Beach the day before the suitcases were discovered.

After being found guilty of two counts of second-degree murder in December of last year, Dudley has finally been sentenced to 560 months in prison.

“We will not let this monster take away our lives too,” Wenner’s mother said after learning Dudley’s fate. “We are going to go on in Austin’s memory and Jessica’s memory.”

  • Convict Known As “The Facebook Rapist” Is On The Run After Faking His Death And Escaping Prison

Convict Known As “The Facebook Rapist” Is On The Run After Faking His Death And Escaping Prison

Police officials in South Africa have launched a nationwide manhunt for a convicted rapist known as the “Facebook Rapist,” after he faked his death and escaped a privately-run maximum security prison in Bloemfontein, CBS News reports.

In 2012, Thabo Bester was sentenced to life in prison for the rape, robbery, and murder of a model. He had previously been convicted of raping and robbing two aspiring models that he had lured through Facebook. In May of 2022, a spokesperson from The Department of Correctional Services (DCS) announced Bester’s death. They claimed that a fire had started in his prison cell at the Mangaung Correctional Centre, taking his life.

Almost a year later, after investigating the death further, DNA tests revealed that the burned remains found in the serial rapist’s cell belong to someone else. The victim used to fake Bester’s death has yet to be identified, but an autopsy revealed that the cause of death was from blunt force trauma to the head before being set on fire. Officials are now investigating the incident as a homicide.

The Ministry of Justice and Correctional Services is now offering a reward for those with any information leading to Bester’s re-arrest.

“No stone will be left unturned in getting to the bottom of Thabo Bester’s escape, and there will be serious consequences for any party involved,” the ministry said in a statement.
