  • Investigation Underway: NYPD Looks Into Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Sexual Assault Allegations Involved

Investigation Underway: NYPD Looks Into Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Sexual Assault Allegations Involved

Diddy’s reputation might be under fire following Cassie Ventura’s possible sexual assault lawsuit. TMZ gathered that the NYPD is investigating the rapper, but no arrest has been made yet.

NYPD Says Sean Combs Has An Active But “Locked” File

During an interaction with TMZ, NYPD nodded to the report of a possible investigation. The authorities said they hold a file with the name Sean Combs referencing Diddy’s official name. At the moment, his case file is active but not accessible. This goes to show that it is a sensitive case.

Meanwhile, the NYPD has issued a statement that backs up victims of physical and sexual assault, proving their interest in Cassie Ventura’s sexual lawsuit.

    Via a statement, they expressed:

“The NYPD takes sexual assault and rape cases extremely seriously, and urges anyone who has been a victim to file a police report so we can perform a comprehensive investigation, and offer support and services to survivors.”

Why Cassie Ventura’s Sexual Assault Lawsuit May Be The Cause Of Diddy’s NYPD Investigation

Diddy and Cassie Ventura were like two peas in a pod until they weren’t. The duo ended their romance and moved on with other partners with whom they had kids. Years after their love turned sour, Cassie Ventura allegedly filed a sexual assault lawsuit, maintaining that it was time to put out her side of the story.

Though Diddy has remained tight-lipped on what went on in their romance, the actress hopes to shed more light, and so far, she has made unbelievable claims.

The onscreen diva has accused her ex-lover of sexual and physical assault, as well as human trafficking. According to Cassie, the episode was continuous from the start to the end of their romance.
Reportedly, Cassie Ventura’s sexual lawsuit contained details of how Diddy subjected her to sleep with prostitutes from different jurisdictions.

TMZ tried to pry into some states mentioned, including Miami, Beverly Hills, and Los Angeles. However, the news outlets realized no lawsuit was filed in these states. Neither is there any ongoing investigation.
The only state with such a record was Beverly Hills, where a 2016 case was discovered. It happened that the exes were involved in an argument that escalated to domestic violence. However, Cassie did not press charges.

In defense of Cassie’s explosive mentions, Diddy’s legal team is working tirelessly to show the world that the accuser is a fraud. According to his lawyer, all Cassie wanted was money. But when she could not blackmail the rapper any further with a threat to release a tell-all book about their relationship, she decided to face the court.

Man Arrested After Saving Woman From Subway Mugging With Warning Shot, Police Say

A New York man has been arrested  for allegedly firing shots on a subway platform on Tuesday night, reports Fox News

The incident occurred when a 49-year-old homeless man attempted to mug a 40-year-old woman near the exit. The NYPD identified the suspect as 43-year-old John Rote and managed to apprehend him on Wednesday afternoon. Rote reportedly overheard the mugger, Matthew Roesch, demanding money from the woman.

To intervene, Rote fired shots, but fortunately, no one was injured. Surveillance images show Rote calmly leaving the scene with a tote bag, a green bookbag, and a tablet. He now faces multiple charges.

“I want to be clear: we don’t tolerate this kind of conduct in NYC Transit, period,”

the city’s top transit official, Richard Davey, said in a statement after Rote’s arrest.

“Once again cameras recorded a perpetrator, and we are grateful the NYPD made an arrest within hours. Thank goodness nobody was hurt here – but what occurred was outrageous, reckless, and unacceptable.”

Transit crime in the city has decreased by 3.6% this year, following a surge during the pandemic and George Floyd protests. However, compared to last year, crime rates are still 29% higher.

Some attacks have been brutal, with travelers being shoved in front of moving subway cars. Last month, Sabir Jones, a 39-year-old repeat offender with mental health issues, was arrested for pushing a woman into a departing train, causing life-threatening injuries. Over the past two years, 37 people, including Michelle Go at Times Square station, have been pushed onto subway tracks, according to FOX 5 New York.

A horrifying incident unfolded in a Harlem subway station as a man viciously assaulted a 60-year-old woman, mercilessly striking her over 50 times with her own cane, per the NY Post. Captured in disturbing footage, the assault occurred around 3:30 a.m. last Friday at the West 116 Street and Lenox Avenue station, according to the New York Police Department (NYPD).

The shocking two-minute video exhibits an unidentified male assailant lunging at the woman with an umbrella, while she attempts to defend herself using her cane. The suspect is then seen wrestling away the cane, causing the woman to collapse to the ground, with her screams echoing through the station. The assailant then unleashed a barrage of more than 50 strikes to her head, stomach, leg, arms, back, and hands, shattering the wooden device in the process.

The alarming footage captures the attacker relentlessly pummeling the defenseless woman’s head with his fists, as his pants begin to sag in the process. Remaining motionless on the ground momentarily, the woman suffers several additional kicks from her assailant before the video abruptly ends.

Despite a 911 call reporting the assault, no MTA workers, police officers, or fellow subway riders intervened during the incident, as revealed by NYPD sources. The victim, who reportedly had no prior connection to the suspect, was transported to a nearby hospital where medical professionals believe she is in stable condition.

The unidentified assailant managed to flee the scene before law enforcement arrived, leaving behind a trail of unanswered questions. At present, no arrests have been made, and the investigation into the attack continues, according to NYPD officials.

Sergeant Suspended Without Pay After Fatally Tossing Cooler at Motorcyclist In NYC

A tragic incident occurred in the University Heights area of the Bronx when a motorcyclist, involved in a drug bust, crashed and lost his life, ABC News reported. The New York City Police Department (NYPD) reported that the fatal outcome resulted from Sergeant Erik Duran throwing a plastic cooler at the fleeing suspect in an attempt to stop him. As a result, Duran has been suspended without pay while an investigation takes place.

Surveillance footage, examined by the Associated Press, shows the motorcyclist, Eric Duprey, riding on a sidewalk towards a group of individuals. Just before the crash, one person, now reportedly known to be Sergeant Duran, picks up a red cooler and hurls it at the motorcyclist from close range. The impact causes the rider to lose control, leading to a collision with a tree and a metal barricade.

The New York State Attorney General Letitia James’ office, responsible for investigating police-involved deaths, is conducting an inquiry with the full cooperation of the NYPD.

“The NYPD is committed to ensuring that there will be a full, thorough, and transparent investigation of this incident to determine the facts and to take the appropriate steps forward,”

the department said in a statement.

According to a preliminary report, Duprey lost control and struck a parked vehicle after being hit by Duran’s thrown cooler. The incident was first reported by The Daily News.

The 30-year-old man was attempting to evade undercover narcotics officers during a

    “buy-and-bust”

operation, a common police tactic. Duran, who joined the NYPD in 2010 and has received numerous commendations, has previous disciplinary issues, including a substantiated abuse of authority complaint from last year.

Jonathan Majors Files Counter-Complaint Against Ex-Girlfriend, Claims He Was The ‘Victim’ During The March Assault

It looks like Jonathan Majors has filed a counter-complaint against his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, following his March arrest for a reported domestic dispute between the then-couple, NY Post reported.

    The

    “Creed III”

star claims that Jabbari scratched and hit him while she was drunk during an argument that later led to his March 25 arrest.

“From the beginning, we have said Jonathan Majors is innocent and provably the victim here,”

Priya Chaudhry, Majors’ attorney, told The Post in a statement.

“Last week, for the first time, Mr. Majors met with the NYPD to present them with evidence of what really happened on that night,”

    Chaudhry added.

“Within hours of viewing the evidence, and conducting their own thorough investigation, the NYPD found probable cause to arrest Grace Jabbari for assaulting Jonathan Majors.”

An NYPD spokesperson declined to comment on Chaudhry’s claims, however, they did reveal that no more arrests have been made and the investigation was ongoing.

Jabbari, 30, accused the 33-year-old Hollywood actor of attacking her three months ago leaving her with bruise marks on her head and neck, and her right hand injured. She was treated at a hospital and Majors was arrested. Initially, Majors was hit with six counts of third-degree assault, three counts of third-degree attempted assault, and two counts of harassment, reports note. He was later released from jail and the strangulation charge was dropped. However, he still faces misdemeanor charges of assault and harassment.

According to legal filings obtained by The Post Chaudry claims a cab driver witnessed Jabbari attacking Majors on March 25. The driver allegedly saw Jabbari trying to snatch Majors phone on the way home from a bar in Brooklyn. The driver also allegedly saw a woman

    “hitting, scratching and attacking”

Majors, who asked him to stop the car so he could get out.

“Jonathan Majors is innocent and has not abused anyone,”

    his attorney insisted.

“We have provided irrefutable evidence to the district attorney that the charges are false. We are confident that he will be fully exonerated.”
