Person Of Interest Arrested In Connection To A String Of Unprovoked Stabbings In NYC, Resulting In At Least 5 Injuries

A suspect has been arrested in connection with a series of random stabbings that occurred in Queens, reports CBS News.

At least five individuals were injured. An attack occurred on Tuesday and has been going on since January 8th, reports state. Police are investigating a similar crime in Brooklyn where a 28-year-old man was stabbed on a J subway train on Wednesday.

“We have an unidentified individual who’s walking around the street randomly stabbing people with a hunting knife. There’s no connection between individuals, and it seems to be unprovoked,”

NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell said.

On Jan. 8. at 6:20 p.m., a 61-year-old man was stabbed in the lower back at 137th Avenue and 157th Street.

“In this incident, the suspect actually laughed in the victim’s face after he stabbed him,”

NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said.

A 34-year-old woman was stabbed on Tuesday at 158th Street and 134th Avenue. On Wednesday morning, two stabbings occurred near Guy Brewer Boulevard at 134th Avenue. The victims were a 41-year-old man and a 74-year-old man. The final incident happened at Parsons Boulevard and Archer Avenue. The victim and the suspect had an altercation on a bus over a seat. • Derek Chauvin’s Accused Stabber Opts Out Of Legal Counsel, Set To Represent Himself In Attempted Murder Trial

Derek Chauvin’s Accused Stabber Opts Out Of Legal Counsel, Set To Represent Himself In Attempted Murder Trial

According to RadarOnline.com, the ex-Mexican gangster who allegedly stabbed Derek Chauvin 22 times in a bold prison attack has expressed his desire to represent himself in the upcoming attempted murder trial.

Court records reveal that John Turscak’s public defenders have filed a motion in an Arizona federal court, seeking to withdraw from the high-profile case that revolves around the near-fatal assault on the former Minneapolis police officer. Chauvin is currently serving a 22.5-year sentence for the death of George Floyd in 2020.

“Mr. Turscak would like to appear in pro se and requests that a hearing be set on this request and motion as soon as possible,”

stated the motion. The recently filed motion does not explain why John Turscak, who is charged with attempted murder, assault with intent to commit murder, and assault with a dangerous weapon for the stabbing on November 24, has chosen to part ways with his legal team.

Turscak, who was serving a 30-year sentence at the Tucson, Arizona penitentiary for multiple crimes committed while working as a federal informant, entered a plea of not guilty on January 5 for the violent assault that took place in the prison’s law library.

“Turscak told corrections officers that he would have killed D.C. [Chauvin] had they not responded so quickly,”

as stated in the criminal complaint, which described the weapon as an

    “improvised knife.”

In a subsequent interview with the FBI, Turscak recanted his earlier confession but proudly emphasized that the attack took place on the infamous

    “Black Friday,”

    which was

“symbolic with the Black Lives Matter movement and the ‘Black Hand’ symbol associated with the Mexican Mafia criminal organization.”

  • Navy Veteran Fatally Attacks ‘Witch’ Sister, Citing Her True-Crime Fascination, Claims to Have ‘Saved Mother’s Life’

Navy Veteran Fatally Attacks ‘Witch’ Sister, Citing Her True-Crime Fascination, Claims to Have ‘Saved Mother’s Life’

A Navy veteran named Anthony Dibella has been sentenced to 18 years to life in prison for fatally stabbing his sister, Paoli, with a bayonet blade and awl, according to FOX News. Dibella claimed that his sister’s fascination with true-crime content led him to believe she intended to kill their mother.

On April 28, 2022, Dibella called 911 dispatchers, telling them that his sister

“Wanda Paoli is being killed, she is a witch killed with a knife and awl, and is currently on the porch”

of their town of Lyme home, per court documents. When first responders arrived at the scene they discovered Paoli’s lifeless body with multiple stab wounds to her head, neck, and face.

Dibella told the court that he suffers from schizoaffective and bipolar disorders. He expressed his hope for treatment at a VA hospital instead of imprisonment. Paoli’s sons, Shawn and Josh, wrote that they hope Dibella

“rots in prison with no chance of ever getting out for what he has done”

    and that their uncle is

    “nothing to [them] now”

in their statement shared at the Sept. 20 sentencing hearing.

“He selfishly and violently took her life and has destroyed our family,”

    the statement read.

“Every day is difficult, and no one can ever understand the physiological impact this senseless tragedy has had… on the lives of our entire family because our mother is no longer here with us. I cannot even put into words how much she is missed.”

    Dibella admitted that he

    “stopped all [his] psychotropic medications”

    after

    “attending a healing church service”

in 2019. Despite his actions, Dibella tried to rationalize the murder based on his sister’s interests and a minor bruise on their mother’s hand. The veteran told the court,

“I believe without a shadow of a doubt that I saved my mother’s life that day,”

    Dibella concluded.

  • Tragic Incident Unfolds as Daughter Responds Violently to Academic Pressure, Resulting in Fatal Consequences

Tragic Incident Unfolds as Daughter Responds Violently to Academic Pressure, Resulting in Fatal Consequences

A young woman identified as Sydney Powell, of Ohio was found guilty of brutally attacking her mother, Brenda Powell, with a frying pan and stabbing her multiple times, reports FOX News

Last week, prosecutors linked Sydney’s academic struggles to the tragic crime, securing her conviction for murder and assault. She was convicted on two counts of murder, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence.

Following her arraignment, Sydney, 23 had been out on bail, but that quickly changed as the jury delivered a guilty verdict in Summit County Common Pleas Court. Sydney could be seen bursting into tears before being taken into custody.

“We are disappointed with the jury’s verdict. We felt that the science overwhelmingly proved insanity, and we will file an appeal,”

Sydney’s attorney, Donald Malarcik, told Fox News Digital.

On March 3, 2020, the prosecution revealed that Sydney’s father confronted Brenda due to issues accessing Sydney’s tuition payment. The 19-year-old confessed hiding her expulsion from Mount Union University for months. The teen reportedly received failing grades in December 2019 and continued campus life until eviction from her dorm on February 24, 2020.

To avoid telling her parents, Sydney stayed in hotels for a week. Brenda returned home from her job to have a conversation with her daughter. During the discussion, school officials testified that they could hear thuds, screaming, and then the phone call abruptly ended. Concerned, one of the officials attempted to call back, only to have Sydney answer, pretending to be her mother. However, the official was not convinced and promptly contacted the police.

According to prosecutors, Sydney repeatedly struck her mother in the head with a cast-iron skillet before retrieving a steak knife and stabbing her approximately 30 times. This shocking act of violence forever altered the lives of the Powell family.

“She had to switch weapons and keep attacking her,”

assistant prosecutor Brian Stano told jurors.

“That is purposeful. That is trying to end someone.”

  • Woman Attempts To Stab Dog For Eating Her Burger King Resulting In Horrific Injury To 1-Year-Old Niece, Police Say

Woman Attempts To Stab Dog For Eating Her Burger King Resulting In Horrific Injury To 1-Year-Old Niece, Police Say

A woman in Indiana is facing serious charges after allegedly attempting to stab her dog for snatching her chicken sandwich, reports Law&Crime. Tragically, she accidentally stabbed her 1-year-old niece in the neck instead. Sharon C. Key, 32, was arrested and charged with neglect of a dependent resulting in serious bodily injury and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.

The incident unfolded on Tuesday night when law enforcement responded to a distress call at the Days Inn on Craig Street in Indianapolis. They discovered a 1-year-old girl with a stab wound to her neck. The child was swiftly transferred to Riley Hospital for Children, initially in critical condition but later updated to stable.

According to court records, the victim’s mother, who happens to be Key’s sister, revealed that Key had requested to stay with them at the hotel. After being dropped off that morning, Key consumed alcohol throughout the day. Later that evening, the sisters returned from a Burger King outing. The mother laid her daughter on the bed closest to the window and then proceeded to shower her son.

The mother claimed to have heard

“loud noises from the bedroom so she walked out and saw that [Key] was holding a knife in her hand and [her daughter] was bloody and screaming on the bed.”

Key expressed that it was an

    “accident”

while the mother frantically wrapped a towel around her daughter’s wound and applied pressure.

The mother called 911 for assistance while Key attempted to flee towards the exit. Authorities eventually discovered Key hiding in some nearby bushes and arrested her. During an interview with detectives, Key reportedly confessed that her pitbull had snatched her Burger King chicken sandwich, leading her to become enraged. She allegedly grabbed her knife and pursued the dog, but in her attempt to harm the animal, she accidentally struck her niece instead. The investigation is ongoing.

Mother Confesses To Cutting Infant’s Throat and Discarding Lifeless Body In Dumpster

Fardoussa Abdillahi, 28, of Minnesota has confessed to killing her baby by slitting his throat, placing his body in a garbage bag, and disposing of it in a dumpster near her apartment building, reports Law&Crime

In the early morning hours on November 28th, a witness who spotted Abdillahi said she told him

“she had thrown the baby in the dumpster.”

The man disturbed by her remarks quickly notified police.

Witnesses went searching for the infant before officers arrived on the scene, to no avail.

“Witnesses were unsure at the time if the defendant was being truthful and called the police when they could not find the baby,”

    court documents state.

When police arrived on the scene they questioned Abdillahi about the child’s location which she disclosed.

“Officers located the deceased body of Child A within the dumpster. The defendant was placed under arrest and the scene was preserved,”

according to a police report obtained by Law&Crime.

The baby boy was no more than 4 months old, the probable cause statement said. An autopsy revealed that the baby suffered a

“circumferential sharp force injur[y] to [the] neck,”

“The manner of death was ruled homicide.”

Abdillahi reportedly told interrogators that she started experiencing

“headaches and feelings of worry and fear”

after the birth of her son. The child’s father was also

    “denying”

that the baby was his, she said, according to the probable cause statement.

Abdillahi recently pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, according to Law&Crime records. Initially facing a first-degree murder charge for her son’s brutal death, Abdillahi struck a deal with the Stearns County Attorney’s Office. In exchange for her guilty plea to a lesser charge, the first-degree murder count was dropped by the prosecutors.

Bronx Man Stabbed By Girlfriend In Stairwell Where He Slept On Nights She Wouldn’t Let Him In

A Bronx woman is now in police custody after allegedly stabbing him to death in their apartment building’s stairwell, Daily News reported.

On Saturday, at around 10:30 P.M., John “Biggie” Levestone began knocking in the door of the apartment he shared with girlfriend Crystal Fryson. Despite the 37-year-old begging to be let in, Fryson refused. The two then began a shouting match. “He was shouting and screaming at her,” said neighbor Justin Sanchez. “She kept shouting back from inside the apartment, ‘I don’t want to talk to you, you piece of s***!’”

After a few minutes of back and forth, Levestone gave up and started walking towards the nearest stairwell, where he frequently slept when he was not allowed inside their apartment. On his way there, he attempted to break neighbors’ Ring cameras as he passed by them. “Now his broke a** is running,” Fryson was heard yelling from behind their apartment’s front door.

Moments later, when Levestone was well into the stairwell, Fryson and two other women left the apartment to follow him, leaving a small child waiting and watching from the doorway. “He stopped hollering and went into the stairwell and she came out screaming,” Sanchez recalls. “The real fighting happened in the stairwell. They just kept yelling in the stairwell but I don’t know what happened after that. I just heard children start screaming and crying.”

Fryson was then heard yelling in the stairwell as the two women she was with sprinted back to the apartment. “Move back, move back, move back, move back!,” she can be heard yelling at her boyfriend. “I dare you to come over here.”

Shortly after, police arrived to find Levestone with stab wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he sadly succumbed to his wounds. Fryson was arrested and charged with murder, manslaughter, and weapon possession.

Man Fatally Stabs Wife, Sends Photos Of Her Body To Affair Partner, Then Takes Her Body To Police Station To Confess

A Connecticut man has been arrested after confessing to killing his wife and sending photos of her body to her “new boyfriend,” Law And Crime reports.

On April 16th, at around 3:20 P.M., Pedro Grajalez entered Hartford Police Department’s headquarters and told a front desk officer that he had stabbed his wife to death.
