Two Suspects Charged In Murder-For-Hire Plot Against Philadelphia Teacher Rachel King, Prosecutors Say

Two people have been charged in the murder of a Philadelphia teacher who was gunned down at a Dunkin Donuts drive-thru in front of her son, in what prosecutors called a hit planned by a scorned woman, the NY Post reported.

Prosecutors announced on Wednesday that Julie Jean, 34, was charged with

“first- and third-degree murder and conspiracy,”

in connection with the April 11th shooting that killed Philadelphia mother Rachel King, 35. According to the prosecutors, evidence has revealed that Jean paid a hitman to kill King. King was reportedly gunned down in front of her 11-year-old son at a Dunkin Donuts drive-thru in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania.

The alleged gunman, Zakkee Steven Alhakim, 33, is charged with

“first-degree murder, conspiracy, and related crimes,”

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele said.

According to the Inquirer, Jean allegedly was having an affair with King’s long-time boyfriend, William Hayes. When King learned of her partner’s infidelity, lines of communication ended between Hayes and Jean. An arrest affidavit obtained by the outlet details how Jean grew obsessive after the break-up and began

    “stalking and harassing”

    Hayes,

“frequently turning up at his apartment unannounced.”

Hayes took out a protection-from-abuse order against Jean in December, Steele confirmed per the NY Post.

Jean allegedly contacted Alhakim, the father of her children, to murder King in exchange for a Mercury Sable, that she bought him. Jean showed Alhakim a Google Maps screenshot of King’s apartment as well as pictures of King during an in-person meeting, the Inquirer reported. A warrant for Jean’s cellphone also revealed that she deleted 787 text messages moments before her interview with police, including all of her messages with Alhakim.

Prosecutors linked the Mercury Sable and the .9 mm handgun that killed King to another homicide, that occurred on April 7th. Alhakim was charged in connection to that as well and remains in custody.

Virginia teacher, Abigail Zwerner, who was shot by her 6-year-old student has filed a $40 million lawsuit against school officials, claiming that they failed to protect her after reporting multiple acts of violence from the student, reported Insider

Zwerner, who worked as a first-grade teacher at Richneck Elementary School in Virginia, filed a lawsuit against school administrators who she says ignored several warning signs before she was shot, a press release published by her lawyers said.

“The child who shot Ms. Zwerner had a history of violence with both students and teachers,”

her attorney said in the press release.

According to the Washington Post earlier this year, before the shooting, the child had written a note to Zwerner stating that he

“hated her and wanted to light her on fire and watch her die,”

which was reported to school administrators. Two days before the shooting, the student reportedly

“slammed Zwerner’s phone on the ground,”

causing the screen to break, he was suspended for one day the release also said.

On the day of the shooting school officials were notified about the child carrying a gun in the building. They conducted multiple searches but did not retrieve the firearm. The same day, Zwerner was shot by the child in the middle of class, surviving a gunshot wound to the chest.

“Essentially, this child was a ticking time bomb on school property and the administration chose to ignore the problem,”

one of Zwerner’s lawyers, Jeffrey Breit, said in the press release.

“Abigail Zwerner deserved more from the school system and now she will live with the results of their neglect for the rest of their life,”

    he added.

A Connecticut substitute teacher is now facing a larceny charge after she was mistakenly paid more than $27,000 for two days of work, and refused to give it back, New York Post reported.

In 2020, 24-year-old Shalyn Coley began working for the Stamford Public School District as a substitute teacher. Despite the going rate for a substitute teacher within the district being $105, Coley received a payment of over $54,000, which was about $27,000 after taxes, for two days of work in November of 2022.

When the error was noticed, Coley told the district that her bank prohibited her from reversing the transaction herself. She claimed that “the city has to reverse the transaction on their end.” After a bit of back and forth, Coley agreed to give the district a check for the amount that was mistakenly deposited, but never did.

Teacher Who Allegedly Wears Size-Z Prosthetic Breasts To Class Placed On Paid Leave, Reports Say She Doesn’t Wear Them Outside Of School

A high school teacher from Canada, who wears extremely large size-Z prosthetic breasts to school has been placed on leave after reports begin to circulate that she barely wears them outside of the classroom, reports the New York Post. It was confirmed by the Halton School District that Kayla Lemieux, a teacher at Oakville Trafalgar High School was placed on paid leave, which occurred on Tuesday.

Heather Francey, a spokesperson informed the Toronto Sun,

“While not currently on an active assignment, the teacher remains employed with the (Halton District School Board).”

The Sun reports that the teacher’s suspension came after Stephen Lecce, an Education Minister, Natalie Pierre, Effie Triantafilopoulos, and Stephen Crawford, the Halton Region MPPs reproached the school board for

“having abdicated its responsibility by failing to put the interests and safety of students first.”

A parent expressed to the school board on Wednesday that

“forms of identity and expression presented in the school environment [must] be scrutinized against the child’s safeguarding practices.”

The board stayed silent despite receiving months of complaints from parents about the teacher sporting the size-Z prosthetics in front of the students. Photos have been taken of the teacher wearing tight clothes with the prosthetics, which showcased prints of her nipples. The arising issue has caused controversy aimed at school officials. The story began to gain much attraction after The Post reported that the teacher rarely wears the prosthetic breast, wig, and makeup outside of school and

    “appears as a man.”

Photos showed Lemieux outside of school wearing a puffer jacket, men’s sweatpants, and sneakers.

The teacher said in a discussion with The Post that the man dressed down in the photos wasn’t her. She said

    “These are real,”

also telling them that she can’t disclose who the man was in the photo

“because I don’t want to bring anyone else into this.”

“This is who I am. This is how I look. You’ve been talking to people in my building but what they’re telling you is harsh and untrue. I am always going out looking the way I am,” she added.

The teacher revealed that back in 2021, she began hormone replacement therapy; however, she isn’t a

    “transgendered person,”

    and was born

    “intersex.”

She later said that her large breast is the result of a disorder called gigantomastia, which she says she wasn’t officially diagnosed with.
