  • Texas Man Receives 180-Day Jail Sentence For Drugging Wife’s Drinks To Induce An Abortion

Texas Man Receives 180-Day Jail Sentence For Drugging Wife’s Drinks To Induce An Abortion

A 39-year-old Houston attorney named Mason Herring has been sentenced to 180 days in jail and 10 years on probation after drugging his wife’s drinks in an attempt to induce an abortion, reports ABC Houston

Herring pleaded guilty to injury to a child and assault of a pregnant person, although he had originally been charged with felony assault to induce abortion. Catherine Herring, who has filed for divorce, expressed her dissatisfaction with the length of the jail sentence. She shared that their 1-year-old daughter, who was born about 10 weeks premature, is facing developmental delays and attends therapy eight times a week.

“I do not believe that 180 days is justice for attempting to kill your child seven separate times,”

Catherine Herring said. Catherine told authorities she became suspicious when she fell ill after drinking from a cloudy cup her husband had given her. She later discovered packaging for the abortion drug misoprostol in the trash.

She handed over videos from hidden cameras in her home, showing her husband mixing something in her drink. Mason Herring’s attorney believes the plea deal and sentence are fair.

Bodycam Footage Shows Miami-Dade Police Chief Handcuffed Hours Before Suicide Attempt

Newly released bodycam footage has provided additional information about the tragic events leading up to the self-inflicted gunshot wound of Miami-Dade police director Alfredo ‘Freddy’ Ramirez. The incident occurred at a Tampa hotel on July 23 after police were called to respond to an argument between Ramirez and his wife, during which witnesses claimed he had pointed a gun at his own head. Approximately twelve officers from the Tampa Police Department arrived at the scene, reports the Daily Mail

After handcuffing Ramirez, a 27-year police veteran, and speaking with him and his wife, the officers decided to release Ramirez and left the hotel. Ramirez later contacted the Miami-Dade mayor to express his desire to resign due to the mistakes he believed he had made.

Later that evening, while driving back to Miami, Ramirez pulled over on the I-75 and shot himself in the head. He was immediately rushed to Tampa Hospital and underwent surgery. Although his condition is stable, it is expected that he may have lost vision in his right eye.

In the recently released bodycam footage, Ramirez can be heard questioning the actions of the Tampa police officers and emphasizing his position as the director of the Miami-Dade police department.

The incident began at a JW Marriott hotel where Ramirez and his wife were attending a law enforcement conference. Witnesses reported an argument between the couple, with one witness claiming that Ramirez had threatened self-harm. A hotel staffer was heard telling officers that a witness described a man threatening suicide.

In response to the report of a gun, police approached the couple’s hotel room with caution. Ramirez’s wife cooperated with the officers and informed them of her husband’s location. When Ramirez exited the room, he was promptly handcuffed. Expressing confusion, he denied any wrongdoing and insisted that they had been engaged in a conversation.

During the 15 minutes that Ramirez was handcuffed, his wife assured the police that their altercation had been a mere heated discussion. She mentioned Ramirez’s position as the director of the Miami-Dade Police Department and acknowledged the challenges he faces in his role.

As the evening progressed, Ramirez contacted Mayor Levine Cava, expressing regret and a desire to resign. The mayor advised him to return home safely, promising to discuss the matter further the next day. Tragically, Ramirez then shot himself while driving on the I-75. His wife immediately called emergency services for assistance.

Ramirez’s condition remains stable, and he continues to receive treatment in the Tampa area.

Husband Accused of Drugging His Wife and Allowing At Least 51 Men To Rape Her While He Filmed It, Occurred Over a Decade-long

A French man was busted for allegedly drugging his wife and inviting nearly 51 men to rape her while she was unconscious for over a 10-year period, NY Post reported. Police say he recorded each assault on his hidden camera.

The husband has been identified as Dominique P, reports reveal. According to a court filing obtained by local French outlet La Monde, Dominique had been mixing his wife’s dinner with an anti-anxiety drug called Lorazepam since 2011. The drug, unbeknownst to her, would cause her extreme fatigue and absent-mindedness.

In 2020, authorities discovered disturbing videos of the helpless woman after Dominique was busted trying to snap a video of another woman in a changing room with the same camera. Police say the videos were saved to a USB under a file named

    “ABUSES.”

A total of 51 men, between the ages of 26 and 73, were caught on video assaulting the victim. They have all been charged with rape, reports reveal. It is unclear what charges the husband is facing for his alleged role.

The couple had been married for 50 years and share three adult children. Dominique told police that his wife is a

    “saint”

    and

    “the love of his life.”

According to prosecutors, the woman broke down in tears when she was told the news. She was given medical tests that revealed she was suffering from four different sexually transmitted diseases. She has since filed for divorce.
