49-Year-Old Man Face Life Behind Bars On Child Pornography Charges, Reports Say

On Tuesday, U.S. Attorney Gregory J. Haanstad announced that a federal grand jury indicted 49-year-old Robert D. Nytes from Kossuth on child pornography charges. 

The indictment alleges he used a child for sexually explicit conduct around Feb. 25, 2023. Nytes has an alarming history, having previously been convicted twice for second-degree sexual assault of a child in Sheboygan County Circuit Court, according to WFRV. 

If convicted of producing child pornography, Nytes faces a minimum of 35 years behind bars, potentially up to life.
