    A woman from California has been sentenced to two years behind bars after throwing a Molotov cocktail into a California bank after growing angry because the wait was too long, according to the New York Post. 35-year-old Teranee Millet reportedly said

    “I’m going to blow this b-tch up” before committing the crime. 

    The US attorney’s office said that Millet was sentenced after she pleaded guilty back in March to unlawful possession of a firearm and destructive device. 

    According to the US attorney’s office statement, the woman was at a Bank of America in Southern California back in Sept. 2021 when she talked to a bank manager and demanded assistance from another bank teller

    “because she believed she had been waiting in [line] for too long.” 

    She was informed that the other bank tellers were unavailable, and she then screamed,

    “I’m going to blow this bitch up!” 

    The manager at the bank instantly contacted officials; however, minutes before authorities arrived, the woman had already thrown the Molotov cocktail into the establishment, which resulted in a fire. Reports say the middle of the floor was on fire. Luckily, a customer was able to put the fire out while the woman fled. As Millet left, she threatened another customer and tossed a glass bottle at their vehicle, damaging it. Luckily, no one suffered from any injuries. 

    Millet was arrested in Georgia two months following the incident after she was identified on the bank’s security camera. Before she was arrested, she led cops on a car chase as she drove a stolen U-Haul van. Reports added that the chase ended in a car crash and Millet suffered from injuries. She was later treated.

    High School Anatomy Teacher Placed on Leave After Discussing Adult Toys and Sexual Pleasure with Students

    A California high school teacher has been placed on administrative leave after she was caught on video teaching students about sex toys and the role of the prostate in sexual pleasure, NY Post reported. 

    El Dorado High School in Placentia announced the suspension of Judy Rehburg, a physiology and AP environmental science teacher at the school. A secretly recorded video has circulated showing Rehburg talking about sex toys and how they are available for consumer purchase at general retailers, according to the Register. In another clip, the teacher is heard discussing the male prostate and its role in sexual pleasure.

    The school district said they are investigating the teacher’s conduct.

    “District employees are trusted to exercise professional judgment when deciding whether or not a particular issue is suitable for study or discussion,”

    Alyssa Griffiths, a spokeswoman for the Placentia-Yorba Linda school, district, told the paper.

    “In the classroom, employees act on behalf of the district and are expected to follow the adopted curriculum, and they should not advocate personal opinions or viewpoints,”

    she added.

    Man Accused of Kidnapping and Torturing Women Told Police Victims Tried to Burglarize His Home

    A California man who allegedly kidnapped two women and tortured them told officers that the victims tried to burglarize his home, reports Fox News. 

    Gilberto Puga, 53, contacted the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office the morning of May 14 about two women who had

    “burglarized his residence.”

    According to authorities, the two women called in shortly after

    “screaming for help,”

    it said in a press release. The victims were seen walking away from Puga’s residence when officers arrived. 

    Investigators confirmed

    “that the two females had not burglarized Puga’s residence but had been locked in Puga’s residence, held against their will, and tortured,”

    the sheriff’s office said. According to a criminal complaint obtained by local news outlet KTLA 5,

    “the suspect allegedly held the two victims in his enclosed patio for more than 30 minutes while he tortured them with a stun gun.”

    Puga, who reportedly has had past run-ins with the law, was arrested and charged with false imprisonment and torture. He is being held on $1 million bail. 

    Neighbors of Puga also came forward accusing him of suspicious behavior. One neighbor accused Puga of hitting on his 18-year-old daughter.

    “He pulls up and blocks her in our driveway,”

    the neighbor told KTLA.

    “He comes up and starts telling her how pretty she was and because it was also Valentine’s Day weekend, that if she doesn’t have a date, he’d love to take her out on a date.”

    The neighbor has since taken out a restraining order against Puga.

    Actor and comedian Pete Davidson could be facing charges more than seven weeks after crashing his car into a Beverly Hills home, TMZ reports.

    On March 4th, the 29-year-old Saturday Night Live alum was “driving at a high rate of speed,” when he went over a curb and slammed into the corner of a house. Fortunately, nobody was hurt, including girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders, who was in the passenger’s seat.

    Now, the case is being reviewed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for possible criminal charges. Typically, DA’s offices only handle felony cases, but in Beverly Hills, they can handle high-profile misdemeanor charges as well.

    Plastic Surgeon Faces Murder Charges For Allegedly Refusing To Contact Emergency Responders After Patient Went Into Cardiac Arrest During Procedure

    A plastic surgeon from California, Dr. Carlos Chacon, has been charged with murder after allegedly choosing not to call first responders after a patient, who he was operating a breast augmentation on went into cardiac arrest, reports PEOPLE. 

    KGTV-TV, KSWB-TV, and KDSN-TV, reported that 36-year-old Megan Espinoza had a cardiac arrest while having the procedure at Divino Surgery Center in Bonita, California back in Dec. 2018. According to the news outlets, Dr. Chacon waited over three hours to contact emergency responders and urged his staff not to contact officials. 

    Initially, the doctor was charged with involuntary manslaughter; however, the charge was elevated to murder on Monday after it was revealed that he exited the operating room to speak with 4 different patients while Espinoza was experiencing complications, reports KNSD.

    According to KGTV, San Diego County Deputy District Attorney Gina Darvas said,

    “The defendant essentially doubled down on his practices and prevented other people from calling 911 and allowed Ms. Espinoza to essentially suffocate for a three-hour period before emergency personnel were finally summoned.” 

    The Doctor was also accused of using a nurse who wasn’t properly trained to allocate the anesthesia. The nurse allegedly lied to the victim’s husband when he called the office to check in on his wife amid the operation.  KNS reported that the doctor pleaded not guilty to the charge. 

    “Despite what the prosecution says about these interviews with individuals, nothing has changed from a medical perspective. It is the same case…So, now to ramp this up to a murder charge is something I’ve never seen. I’ve been practicing for 30 years in criminal defense, and I’ve never seen anything like this,”

    said his attorney, Marc Carlos. 

    The doctor’s bail has been set at $500,000.

    1 Dead And Nearly A Dozen Injured After 13-Year-Old Leads Police On High Speed Chase

    One person has died and almost a dozen people have been injured after a 13-year-old collided into two other vehicles while leading police on a chase in a stolen vehicle in Woodland, California, NBC 5 has reported.

    On Saturday afternoon, an officer from the Woodland Police Department noticed a vehicle driving erratically and attempted to pull the driver over. Instead of pulling over, the young suspect increases their speed and were followed until they crashed into two other vehicles in an intersection, causing two of the cars to catch fire.

    Four ambulances arrived to help the nearly a dozen who were injured, but one of the victims was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene. The conditions of the remaining victims are currently unknown.

    Police later identified the suspect driver as a 13-year-old boy driving a stolen vehicle. According to an update released by Woodland Police Department’s Facebook page, the middle schooler has been charged with vehicular manslaughter with negligence and evading causing injuries.

    A middle school teacher in Fontana, California was caught on video repeatedly saying the N-word during class, ABC News reported. 

    The teacher reportedly teaches language arts at Sequoia Middle School in California and was reading a Mark Twain novel to the class when one student pointed out the spelling of the word in the book. The video which was recorded by one of the classmates shows the teacher continually badgering the child to say the word. 

    “Say it!” the teacher can be heard saying in the video. “You asked me how to spell it, so go ahead and pronounce it. N****r. Pronounce it after me, n****r.”

    The student who shot the video on her phone said she was shocked to hear that coming from the teacher.

    “I was just thinking, ‘Dang, this teacher is out of her mind,’”

    said the child.

    “The teacher got in front of the class and she was saying that the word is just an English word and everybody can say it if she wants to, it’s in the dictionary, and people are oversensitive over the word,”

    the student recalled, who’s African American.

    “She was trying to force him to say the word and she repeatedly kept saying it and she had a smirk on her face,”

    she added.

    It is unclear whether any action was taken against the teacher.

    “While we acknowledge that this derogatory language comes from a novel first published in the late 1800s, and that historical context is important to consider when discussing literature, the district does not condone the language that was used in the video or using that language outside of the context of discussing the novel,”

    The Fontana Unified School District told ABC News.

    California Family Files Lawsuit Against Amazon After Their 2-Year-Old Daughter was Fatally Struck by a Delivery Driver

    A California family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Amazon for the loss of their two-year-old daughter who was fatally struck by an Amazon delivery van, reports Insider.

    In August 2022, the Wu family tragically lost their two-year-old daughter, who was hit by an Amazon delivery truck in the parking lot of their apartment complex in Irvine, California, according to KTLA. Now they are suing the e-commerce giant in hopes of preventing other families from experiencing a similar tragedy. 

    However, according to the family’s attorney, Michael Adler, Amazon has denied any responsibility. Adler told the local outlet that Amazon claims that because the driver was hired through a third-party contractor they are not liable. Amazon has also withheld the dashcam video from the day of the incident. According to Adler, the company won’t release the video to the court without a confidentiality agreement, he told KTLA.

    Adler believes this is just a tactic used by Amazon to avoid lawsuits. According to a 2019 investigation done by ProPublica,

    “between 2015 and 2019, drivers delivering packages for Amazon had been involved in at least 60 car crashes that caused serious injury,”

    reports reveal. In each incident, Amazon denied responsibility for the delivery driver’s actions citing agreements from third parties that state that they will

    “defend, indemnify and hold harmless Amazon.”

    Adler says he will continue to fight for his clients.

    “We have the resources. We have the ability to fight them — but what happens to the next and the next and the next?”

    Alder asked, according to KTLA.

    “We don’t want that to happen to our client in this case, but we don’t want it to happen to anyone in the future,”

    he added.

    14-Year-old Girl Hangs Herself Inside High School, Officials Say

    Sadly, a middle schooler hung herself inside a high school in California, reports the New York Post. Police say the shocking incident occurred a mere hour after the 14-year-old ran away from home. 

    The unidentified teen’s body was discovered by officials on the second floor of Lindhurst High School after she went missing from her home around 6 a.m., officials say. Wendell Anderson, Yuba County Sheriff, informed journalists,

    “It does appear to be a suicide…It’s an active, ongoing investigation.”

    Cops believe that students on campus witnessed the body and they’re looking for these students to give statements and aid in the case. 

    The sheriff went on to say,

    “I know I can speak for our entire department when I say we are incredibly heartbroken from this tragedy… This will undoubtedly impact our community and I urge anyone suffering with suicidal thoughts to seek help immediately.” 

    The school remains closed on Friday and Fal Asrani, superintendent of the Marysville Joint Unified School District, made a statement that said,

    “Today is traumatic for the whole community of Lindhurst and the entire Yuba County.”

    Woman Reveals That She Sold Her Daughter’s Pet Goat To The State Fair and They Barbecued It, Says She’s Suing

    A woman in California is suing her local county and district’s state fair after she sold her daughter’s pet goat to them and they killed and barbecued it, according to the New York Post. Back in April 2022, the mother, Jessica Long, purchased the pet goat, Cedar, for her 9-year-old daughter, reports the Sacramento Bee.

    The mother is now suing Shasta sheriff’s officials, Shasta County, the Shasta District Fair, and anyone else involved. Court documents say she is requesting actual, general, and punitive damages. 

    Long’s lawyer informed The Post,

    “What happened here is an abuse of power and an incredible waste of taxpayer resources… Government officials escalated a purely civil dispute into a sham criminal pursuit.”

    The lawsuit was initially filed back in August 2022; however, it was amended in March 2023. 

    Back in June 2022, the mother chose to enter the goat into the Shasta District Fair’s junior livestock auction, which sells animals to use as meat. On June 25, the pet goat was sold to Senator Brian Dahle, a representative of California State, for $902. The girl changed her mind after the transaction causing Long to break protocol and take back the goat. The mother said she contacted Dahle and offered to pay back all parties for the goat; however, the state fair and CFDA demanded that she return Cedar. Two weeks after the mother took the goat back, Detective Jeremy Ashbee, requested a search warrant to take Cedar, which a judge signed off on. They later retrieved the goat and slaughtered and barbecued it. 

    36,600 people have signed a petition to honor the pet goat and spread awareness about the lawsuit.
