    Woman Missing After Jumping From Ambulance Wearing A Scrub, According To Officials

    A woman from Florida is missing after jumping from a private ambulance near a medical center in New York City, per police. 40-year-old Joslyn Garrido from Kissimmee, was last seen on Nov. 25 around 12:30 p.m. near 1300 York Avenue, according to PEOPLE.

    The address is linked to Weill Cornell Medical Center; however, it’s unclear why she was there. A police source imformed the news outlet that she jumped from a private ambulanc. Reports added that she was visiting her sister in New York City. She was last seen in blue scrubs and gray sweatpants.

    Officials said,

    “The individual is described as a female Hispanic, with a light complexion, brown hair, brown eyes, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighing 150 pounds.”

    The NYPD is seeking details regarding the missing woman.

    The department said,

    “The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the following missing person who went missing in the confines of the 19th Precinct.”

    Florida Man Accused Of Scamming Elderly Woman Out Of $250,000 By Pretending To Be Elon Musk

    A Florida man is behind bars for allegedly scamming a 74-year-old woman from Texas into giving him $250,000 by pretending to be Elon Musk, reports Business Insider. 

    Police in Bradenton said that 56-year-old Jeffrey Arthur Moynihan, Jr. was behind the alleged scheme. 

    He reportedly made a fake Facebook profile of Musk and convinced the woman to invest the large sum of money in

    “Musk’s businesses.”

    Moynihan allegedly told the victim that she could make $55 million by partnering with him. Authorities say she sent him at least $250,000, but her husband claimed it might be as much as $600,000. 

    Moynihan was arrested on November 19 and charged with grand theft. He reportedly runs a painting and pressure-washing business in the Bradenton area. The investigation into the scam is still ongoing.

    The head football coach at Miami Jackson Senior High School, Max Edwards, was reportedly filmed watching pornography on a school computer while students were present. The incident, which was captured by one student, raised concerns and was reported by CBS Miami.

    The video allegedly shows Edwards at a classroom desk, clearly displaying explicit content on the computer screen.

    Officials stated that Edwards has been put on leave while the Miami-Dade School District conducts an investigation into the incident.

    According to the district,

    “Miami-Dade Public Schools is disturbed by the allegation made regarding concerning behavior involving an employee at Miami Jackson Senior High School.”

    The statement continued,

    “The individual has been removed from the school site pending the outcome of an investigation.”

    It isn’t clear if the coach will be charged.

    Florida Mother, Former Child Welfare Worker, Reportedly Tortured and Murdered Adopted Daughter in ‘Unimaginable’ Crime Scene

    Deputies in Sebring, Florida, were confronted with a devastating scene early Friday morning that Highlands County Sheriff Paul Blackman described as “one of the most disturbing crime scenes” in his 30 years of law enforcement.  

    Authorities were called to a home in the Sun ‘n Lake community, where they discovered the body of a 13-year-old girl near the front door, Law & Crime reports.

    The child, who was malnourished and covered in wounds at various stages of healing, was reportedly restrained in the garage for an extended period.

    Security cameras in the garage appeared to monitor her. According to police, her adoptive mother, Diane Natasha Mack, attempted to destroy evidence with pool chlorine before contacting emergency services.  

    “This is something no amount of law enforcement experience can prepare you for,” Sheriff Blackman said, emphasizing the horrifying nature of the crime.  

    Mack, 34, who previously worked for Florida’s Department of Children and Families and as a guardian ad litem, is facing charges including first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, and kidnapping. She is being held without bail.

    Florida Man Fatally Struck on I-95 After Running Into Traffic To Scoop Up Wads of Cash

    A Florida man was struck and killed on a Rhode Island highway after he stopped his vehicle and ran into oncoming traffic early Monday morning, according to Rhode Island State Police, Law & Crime reports.

    Troopers say 61-year-old Kevin Elliot McCourt of Florida pulled over his vehicle on southbound Interstate 95 in Providence around 5:41 a.m. on Nov. 6. 

    McCourt exited his car and ran into the middle of the highway, where he was fatally struck by an SUV while carrying a large sum. Authorities believe he was trying to collect loose bills strewn across the highway.

    “Mr. McCourt’s decision to run into the southbound lanes of I-95 was sudden and unexpected. Unfortunately, the driver of the SUV had little time to react,” said Rhode Island State Police Lieutenant John Smith, in a press release. “This was a tragic event for all involved.”

    “Cases like these are always difficult,” said Trooper Amy Collins. “Our priority is to determine the factors that may have led to Mr. McCourt’s actions, as well as to support the drivers and witnesses who were affected.”

    Local NBC affiliate WJAR reported that emergency services arrived on the scene shortly after the collision, but McCourt was pronounced dead. 

    The Rhode Island State Police have since urged drivers to pull over only when safe and to avoid entering active roadways on foot.

    14-Year-Old Admits To Beating and Raping 91-Year-Old Woman In Her Home, Court Records Reveal

    A 14-year-old boy has been arrested for sexually battering a 91-year-old woman in her Florida home, as reported by The Independent.

    The boy, named Jesse Stone, confessed to his crime and changed his plea to guilty after initially pleading not guilty, according to WKMG. He will be sentenced as an adult next month, but it is not clear how long he could be sentenced for.

    The incident took place on June 9. The woman told authorities that she woke up to find Stone in her home in Reddick, Florida. He then attacked and sexually assaulted her, according to the report. The victim was taken to the hospital, where she told the police that Stone pounced on her and struck her in the face before he escaped. 

    On that same day, Stone approached officers from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and claimed that a neighbor had discovered

    “something”

    on their security footage. After watching the video, the deputies noticed that the suspect matched Stone’s description. A week later, he was taken into custody on charges of sexual battery and burglary.

    “It came as a shock that any individual would commit such acts on a 91-year-old, but it is truly disturbing when we see the young age of the arrestee,”

    Sheriff Billy Woods said after the arrest.

    “Although I firmly believe he should be held accountable for his crime, as a father, my compassion goes out to his family. Hopefully his arrest will lead to getting him help that prevents any further such acts.”

    Three Women Shot In Miami After Heated Discussion About The Election, One In Critical Condition

    Florida police are searching for a gunman who shot three women during a heated discussion about the election, reports the NY Post. The shooting occurred early Wednesday morning in Miami. One of the victims is in critical condition.

    “A group was drinking and talking about politics when the shooting suspect went to a vehicle, retrieved a firearm, and began shooting,”

    said the police department’s spokesperson Michael Vega.

    “They saw chaos and people running,”

    he said.

    “Three people were shot. The woman in critical condition was shot in the abdomen. The other two victims, one of whom was shot several times, are in stable condition.”

    The victims were all women in their late 20s to early 30s, as reported by the police.

    “Witnesses said one of them became upset, possibly intoxicated, and returned to the vehicle to retrieve the weapon,”

    Vega explained.

    He added,

    “It seems that alcohol, along with the election discussion, led this person to go to the vehicle, grab a gun, and start shooting. But this is not acceptable. We have to handle our differences and respect each other’s beliefs. We need to either reach an agreement or simply avoid such topics.”

    The shooting took place on the 500 block of Northwest 19th Street. A neighbor named Suly Ashe told WFOR that she heard gunshots around 12:30 a.m. Investigators are still working on identifying a suspect. No arrest has been yet.

    Police in Florida have released body camera footage of a Sarasota officer hitting 8-year-old Gerard Butler on a dirt bike with his patrol car, reports Law & Crime. 

    “You just hit my f—ing nephew!”

    a man can be heard yelling on a video that was posted online by the Sarasota Police Department on Wednesday. In the video, other witnesses rushed in and started yelling at the officer, whose name has not been released.

    “You’re dead a– wrong,”

    another person could be heard saying to the officer.

    “You’re dead a– wrong!”

    Sarasota Police Chief Rex Troche explained in a video statement what happened that Monday evening in the city, noting that the crash is currently being investigated.

    “The collision occurred around 6:30 in the evening… The officer was leaving the scene of a separate call for service when the child entered the intersection in front of the officer’s vehicle,”

    Troche explained.

    “We cannot imagine how difficult this is for his family,”

    Troche said.

    “Our thoughts and prayers are with you.”

    The victim was taken to a hospital. He was treated for serious injuries that needed two brain surgeries, knee surgery, and jaw surgery.

    He had just received the dirt bike as an early birthday gift over the weekend, according to Tampa CBS affiliate WTSP.

    Sarasota police are working with the Florida Highway Patrol to investigate the incident. Officials say the officer involved has been put on restricted administrative duty and will stay in that position until the investigation is finished. It’s not clear if the officer was speeding when the crash happened.

    Man Charged After Randomly Attacking Sleeping United Passenger During Flight Leaving Victim With Two Black Eyes

    A man from Florida is facing felony charges for allegedly punching a sleeping passenger on a flight from California to Washington, D.C. The attack left the cabin covered in blood, according to a federal complaint. About two hours into the United Airlines flight, 44-year-old Everett Chad Nelson left his seat and went to one of the cabins in the front, according to the Independent.

    A United Airlines official told the news outlet that there were 82 passengers and 6 crew members onboard.

    What Happened?

    Upon leaving the bathroom, Nelson approached seat 12F and suddenly began attacking a sleeping man by punching him multiple times in the face and head, causing bleeding. The attack lasted about a minute until the victim screamed, prompting a bystander to intervene and break up the altercation.

    Nelson not only gave the unidentified passenger two black eyes but also cut his nose, causing blood to splatter on the seat, wall, window, and Nelson’s green windbreaker. The complaint does not mention any motive or prior relationship between the two, suggesting the attack was unprovoked.

    Per a complaint,

    “Nelson had no observable injuries and there was no indication that [the alleged victim] struck him in defense.”

    Following the incident, flight attendants relocated Nelson to a front seat, allowing the person who broke up the attack to monitor him for the rest of the flight. Many passengers saw the attack, and a doctor on board treated the victim’s injuries, per the complaint.

    “Thanks to the quick action of our crew and customers, one passenger was restrained after becoming physically aggressive toward another customer on a flight from San Francisco to Washington Dulles on Monday …The flight landed safely and was met by paramedics and local law enforcement,”

    the United Official told the outlet.

    Nelson is scheduled for a detention hearing on Wednesday. He faces one charge of assault by beating in the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States. If found guilty, he could be sentenced to up to one year in prison.

    A 17-year-old boy has died after shooting his 16-year-old girlfriend, injuring her, and then turning the gun on himself, according to Palm Bay Police Chief Mariano Augello, per Fox News. 

    The shooting occurred shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 27, in the parking lot of an auto shop on Malabar Road. Chief Augello described it as an attempted murder-suicide. The girl was transported to the hospital but is in stable condition. Tragically the boy has died from his self-inflicted gunshot.

    Augello mentioned that the two teens were in a relationship and had agreed to meet. It is unclear the reason they chose that time and location, officials stated. Another 16-year-old girl who had witnessed the shooting had made the 911 call, according to Fox 13 Tamp Bay.
