Mom of Twins Throws Herself Off a Bridge In An Alleged Suicide Attempt While Her 3-Year-Old Children Foamed At the Mouth and Died In Backseat Of Her Car

A mom of three-year-old twins leapt off a bridge in Florida in an alleged suicide attempt and survived after leaving her children foaming at the mouth in a hot car.

Shirlene N. Alcime, 43, has not yet been charged with murder after the twins died a short time later. The toxicology reports are still pending, Law & Crime reports. The 3-year-old fraternal twins Milendhet and Milendhere Napoleon-Cadet were found strapped into the backseat of a car off of I-95 on Feb. 2.

The children were unresponsive, and the mother jumped off the expressway overpass onto track tracks below after she reportedly heard police sirens. According to the outlet, Alcime had been driving around a day before looking for a place to jump.

She reportedly told police she was financially cash-strapped and couldn’t rely on anyone – including their father—for help. The family had also been struggling with homelessness. Alcime reportedly took the twins to McDonald’s and Chuck E. Cheese to have a good day, but it turned tragic.

“The defendant admitted to contemplating jumping off the bridge with both victims or throwing them off one by one and then jumping to end their lives,” officers wrote.

On Friday, Alcime appeared before a judge in a wheelchair and has so far been charged with aggravated child neglect with bodily harm. She has pleaded not guilty, but those charges could be updated.

“I am holding you with no bond on count one, for the child abuse, count two for child abuse, although I think there may be a probable cause for murder as well, but that’s up to the state to file that charge,” Judge Mindy Glazer said.

Man Dies After Allegedly Swallowing Bags Of Drugs Following Investigation At Alleged Drug House, Deputies Say

The Major Case Unit of the Volusia Sheriff’s Office is looking into the death of a man who reportedly swallowed drugs to evade arrest, reports WFLA.

The sheriff’s office reported that deputies were carrying out a drug search warrant at a house on Clara Avenue in DeLand around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. This followed an undercover investigation that revealed several drug sales from that location.

Deputies found 54-year-old Cornell McKinney among five people in the house. They were sitting outside while the investigation was ongoing. The sheriff’s office stated that McKinney didn’t respond to the detectives who were trying to get his information, leading them to suspect that he might be trying to hide or swallow drugs.

Detectives repeatedly asked McKinney to open his mouth and spit out what he was chewing, but he refused. When deputies called medics for help, he became unresponsive. Fire personnel performed life-saving measures and found three plastic baggies in his mouth, with two containing suspected heroin or fentanyl and crack cocaine. McKinney was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, and his family was notified.

The sheriff’s Major Case Unit is investigating his death, and the Medical Examiner will determine the official cause after an autopsy. McKinney reportedly had a history of nine previous arrests in Volusia County for drug offenses and theft since 2012.

  • ‘Psychologist’ Befriends 15-Year-Old Girl, Then Forces Her Into Hotel Room Where She Was Sexually Abused

‘Psychologist’ Befriends 15-Year-Old Girl, Then Forces Her Into Hotel Room Where She Was Sexually Abused

A woman named Maria Ximena Duarte, 45, who calls herself a

    “psychologist,”

befriended a 15-year-old girl and tried to get her to have sex with two adult men, reports Law & Crime. She is now in jail in Miami-Dade, Florida, facing charges of human trafficking of a child, lewd and lascivious exhibition on a child younger than 16 while the defendant is older than 18, lewd and lascivious battery, and interference with custody.

According to court documents, one of the men is accused of sexually abusing the girl, but only their first names are mentioned. They haven’t been charged yet, and Law & Crime is not revealing their names. The investigation is ongoing, police said.

Documents reveal that the girl told police she met Duarte at a hotel pool area while walking her dog on Tuesday. Duarte quickly became friends with the teenager, claiming to be a psychologist, and gaining the young girl’s trust to open up to her.  Duarte then allegedly offered the girl a marijuana cigarette and some alcoholic drinks. The girl refused the alcohol but spent time in Duarte’s hotel room, going home and returning the next day.

On Wednesday, Duarte reportedly took pictures of the girl and sent them to a man, claiming that the girl was 21 and interested in having sex with him. The girl, however, rejected it, saying in the paraphrasing of the affidavit that

    “she was not like that.”

Documents state that Duarte had sex with a man in front of the girl and gave her a phone to record it. The documents also say that the defendant performed oral sex during this incident, telling the victim

    “she was teaching her.”

Duarte’s boyfriend arrived at the hotel room, and Duarte tried to leave the girl alone with him. Despite the girl’s discomfort, Duarte pushed her back inside and told her to make the man

    “feel good.”

The girl refused, but Duarte’s boyfriend grabbed her by the head and neck, leading to a sexual assault. While in the room, the girl found out that Duarte exchanged sex for drugs to support her addiction.

Florida Social Worker Terminated Following An Investigation That Discovered Her Wife Impersonated Her and Provided Patient Care

A social worker in Florida gave up her license after her wife pretended to be her and provided therapy to patients through an online mental health platform. The investigation was conducted by the Florida Department of Health, per USA Today

Records show that Peggy A. Randolph was a licensed clinical social worker in Ellenton. According to online records and documents filed with the Tennessee Board of Social Worker Licensure, Randolph was also licensed as a social worker in Tennessee. During her employment at Brightside Health, an online mental health platform, from January 2021 to February 2023, Randolph offered therapy services to numerous clients through video calls.

After the passing of her wife, Tammy G. Heath-Randolph, Randolph took bereavement leave. It was during this period that a patient reported being treated by Randolph’s deceased wife instead of Randolph herself. The patient provided evidence, including a photo of herself interacting with Randolph’s wife during a session. When confronted by Brightside Health during their investigation, Randolph denied that her wife had treated the patient.

Eventually, Randolph confessed that the person in the photo treating the patient was indeed her wife. She explained that her wife had an

    “uncontrolled bipolar condition”

which may have caused her to see patients without Randolph’s knowledge.

However, during  Brightside Health’s investigation, they discovered that Randolph’s wife had been seeing patients for quite some time.

“This was a coordinated effort so Randolph could provide services to patients in person while (her wife) provided services over the phone,”

the report read. Randolph’s contract with the company has since been terminated and her access to the company’s systems has been revoked.

Mysterious Lime Green Liquid Leaked From Miami Airport Ceiling, Causing A Flood

Passengers at Miami International Airport got a Fourth of July surprise when a strange green liquid started leaking from the ceiling and flooding the hallway, as reported by the NY Post

The airport authorities confirmed that the leak, although not dangerous, originated from a pipe in Concourse G of the facility at around 9 a.m. on Thursday.

Photos shared by the airport staff showed the hallway completely covered in the green liquid, while custodians were seen closing off the affected area and working to clean up the mess.

“The valve feeding the pipe has been closed to stop the leaking, and cleanup efforts are now underway,”

an airport spokesperson said in a statement.

Passengers shared videos of the liquid leaking down the walls, causing the entire waiting area to become inaccessible. According to officials, the mysterious substance was water mixed with a green dye, which originated from the air conditioning system of the building. An airport representative explained in a statement that the green dye is used to quickly identify and track the source of any leaks.

Woman’s Boyfriend Allegedly Leaves Her 6-Year-Old Daughter In Hot Car, Resulting In Tragic Death

A Florida man has been charged with manslaughter after leaving his girlfriend’s 6-year-old daughter in hot car, reports PEOPLE. The child was found unconscious and not breathing when she was taken to a nearby fire station by 24-year-old Markise Outing.

The authorities have not released the girl’s identity. She was immediately rushed to the hospital, where it was discovered that her body temperature had reached over 107 degrees, a dangerously high level. Sadly, she was pronounced dead later that night. The Manatee County Sheriff’s Department is handling the investigation.

According to the sheriff’s department, Outing claimed that the girl became overheated while playing in a park. However, police  found evidence suggesting that Outing picked up the girl from school and left her locked in a car for several hours at his workplace. The temperature inside the car soared to an estimated 115 degrees.

A subsequent autopsy confirmed that the girl’s cause of death was extreme heat, and the police are still awaiting a toxicology report for further information. Outing was charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child and is currently in custody at the Manatee County Jail.

New Jersey Man Travels To Florida To Assault Individual With A Hammer He Deemed ‘A Bad Person’ In Online Game

A 20-year-old man named Edward Kang traveled from New Jersey to Fernandina Beach, Florida, to harm someone he had been playing against in an online video game, per FOX News. Kang specifically targeted a player he deemed a

    “bad person”

in the game, ArcheAge, which ultimately led to a violent confrontation. Kang is facing charges of attempted second-degree murder and armed burglary.

The argument between Kang and his victim, who is around the same age, took place within the virtual world of ArcheAge, a popular multiplayer online role-playing game similar to World of WarcrafI, reports note. The two reportedly never met in person before the incident. According to the arrest report, Kang began his travel on Thursday evening. His mother told police that she believed he was visiting a friend he had met through online gaming several years ago.

Kang flew from Newark Liberty International Airport on a Delta flight, arriving at Jacksonville International Airport around 2:00 a.m. on Friday. He then checked into the Ocean Coast Hotel and purchased a hammer and flashlight from a local Ace Hardware store.

The incident unfolded late Saturday night when Kang entered the victim’s home, which was unlocked reports reveal. The victim was playing video games in his bedroom and had briefly left the room to use the restroom. • Florida Beachgoer Who Was Searching For Turtle Nests Discovers Bricks Of Cocaine Worth $4M

Florida Beachgoer Who Was Searching For Turtle Nests Discovers Bricks Of Cocaine Worth $4M

A man searching for sea turtle nests on a beach in north Florida stumbled upon a stash of cocaine bricks weighing over 70 pounds, with a street value of $4 million, reports the NY Post. The incident occurred on Friday morning at Amelia Island Beach in Nassau County.

The bricks, which weighed 32 kilograms, were wrapped in plastic and had a picture of a bald eagle on top, as seen in the photos. While the drugs themselves are estimated to be worth $1 million in brick form, law enforcement officials believe that the street value goes for over $4 million.

“We came out looking for shark teeth, but their value is not quite the street value of the other stuff that’s washing up. But we’re still looking for shark teeth,”

Paula Johns, a tourist from South Carolina, told the outlet.

As reported, it is normal for large quantities of packaged drugs to be found on the shores of southern Florida, where smuggling is widespread. However, it is unusual to discover such a large amount of cocaine in a more northern area.

“It’s very rare here in Nassau County,”

Nassau County Sheriff Bill Leeper said.

Leeper thinks that the drug smugglers probably threw the drugs overboard.

“More than likely, it was on a boat that law enforcement or Coast Guard was getting close to and they just threw it overboard to get rid of it so they didn’t have possession of it. The sea current just washes it up along the coastline,”

    he said.
