Man Confessed To Raping and Killing Former Girlfriend’s 12-Year-Old Daughter and Hiding Body Freezer

A man from Pennsylvania reportedly confessed to killing and raping his former girlfriend’s daughter, Elaina Smith, who was merely 12 years old. According to the New York Post, prosecutors say 39-year-old Jason Shackelford hid the young girl’s body in a freezer.

Shackelford admitted to the fatal attack after officials responded to disruption between him and Smith’s mother at a Lancaster hotel last Friday, says the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office. He reportedly informed officials that he assaulted and killed Smith at her home last Wednesday evening while her mother was at work. The mother told officials that she and Shackelford were in the midst of a breakup and she told him to move from their home.

When Smith’s mother got home from work the next morning, Shackelford told her that he abducted her daughter and took her to New York where he promised she’ll be safe. The mother told police that her ex then assaulted and raped her as he forced her to go to the Wyndham Lancaster Hotel, a nearby hotel. Reports say he used her daughter’s safety and well-being as an influence. When they got to the hotel, he reportedly raped her once more and let her go outside to smoke a cigarette. While she was outside she requested for hotel staff to contact the police.

The man then confessed to murdering the young girl after he was arrested. During a search of the home, they sadly found Smith’s remains in the basement freezer. Autopsy results revealed she pass away from strangulation.

Shackelford has been charged with criminal homicide and more charges may be added on as the investigation continues. Reports say Shackelford is a registered sex offender.

Pittsburgh Man Arrested After Fatally Stabbing Estranged Wife And Sending Photo Of Her Body To Her Friend

The Pittsburgh man accused of fatally stabbing his wife, sending photos of her body to her friend, and then fleeing the state has been located and arrested.

On Thursday, January 5th, when calls and texts to Tarae Washington went unanswered, her father looked for her at her Pittsburgh home. Inside the kitchen, he discovered his daughter’s body, People reported. He then dialed 911 and told dispatchers that his daughter “had been stabbed, is beyond help, and it was not self-inflicted.”

Investigators noted that there traces of blood throughout the house: the bathroom walls and floor, bathtub, toilet, throughout the second floor’s hallway, the stairwell, the living room, the dining room, and the kitchen. Officials believe that a blood-covered carving knife that was found in the second floor’s hallway was used as the murder weapon.

According to CBS News, Washington was in the process of divorcing her longtime husband, William Fitzgerald. She had filed for the divorce on November 1st, which was set to be finalized in February. Though her would-be former spouse wanted to reconcile the marriage, the police report states that Washington “was not interested.”

Photos of Washington with another man were taken from her phone and sent to two people. The first recipient of the photos with a message reading, “This is why she wasn’t answering her phone in Baltimore.” The second person to receive the messages accused Fitzgerald of killing Washington. “Fitzgerald replies to the (witness’) accusations three times within the text message string,” police documents report. “Fitzgerald does not make any attempt to assert his innocence in the replies.” A third person later received a photo of Washington’s body after she was fatally stabbed. “This what y’all got her,” Fitzgerald texted.

Four days later, on the following Monday, Fitzgerald was located in Morgantown, West Virginia, about 75 miles away from where the incident occurred. He was arrested and will remain in West Virginia pending an extradition hearing. Washington leaves behind two adult children, who have created a GoFundMe page in order to receive help for funeral expenses.

“She gave so much of herself to us, to her grandkids, to all of her family and friends,” the fundraiser reads. “Her spirit shined like the morning sun, warming those who saw her and spreading joy and hope. It hurts to even write that she’s gone.”

  • Parents Who Don’t Believe In Modern Medicine Allegedly Used Herbs and Oils To Care For Dying Newborn Instead Of Calling 911

Parents Who Don’t Believe In Modern Medicine Allegedly Used Herbs and Oils To Care For Dying Newborn Instead Of Calling 911

A couple from Pennsylvania, Drew and Amy Hoenigke, have been apprehended and charged after the pair waited three days to alert officials about their newborn son’s death, according to PEOPLE.

The newborn, who was birthed at the home, lived for just a few days as officials claim the parent’s utilized herbs and teas as opposed to

    “modern medicine”

in an attempt to take care of the baby boy. According to the attorney general,

“Shortly after the birth, the baby showed signs of severe distress. Messages from the defendants described the baby as struggling to breathe and ‘turning blue.’”

“In a failed attempt to aid the child, Amy Hoenigke and Meckes utilized a peppermint oil infuser and attempted to create a makeshift breathing tube from a water bottle. Without proper medical care, the baby died approximately two days after birth,”

the attorney general went on to write.

“Experts believe that the caretakers should have immediately sought medical care when the child began showing signs of distress and difficulty breathing,”

    the attorney general continued.

“The inaction of the defendants resulted in needless suffering, and made it impossible for the baby to survive,”

    the attorney general added.

Police said the couple moved to a

    “rural”

region in an attempt to live a holistic lifestyle. 34-year-old Amy Hoenigke informed officials that she and Drew

“do not live a conventional lifestyle and choose not to pay attention to things like timeframes or even keep track of the days.”

    Authorities discovered the infant boy’s

    “decomposing”

body on Jan. 20 and next to his body officials discovered a box that contained

    “remnants of burned herbs.”

The 31-year-old father told The Daily Beast that they didn’t alert authorities due to their skepticism of

    “modern medicine.”

They were also concerned about their 2-year-old daughter who was unvaccinated. The father added that their daughter was birthed at home and lacked a birth certificate.

The couple has been charged with a slew of charges including, involuntary manslaughter, aggravated assault, and endangering the welfare of a child. The couple has since been released on a $150,000 bond and is currently awaiting their pre-trail in January.
