18-Month-Old Poisoned by Father’s Girlfriend, Who Reportedly Fed Her Harmful Substances Such As Acetone, Batteries, and Screws

A Pennsylvania woman is accused of fatally poisoning her boyfriend’s 18-month-old daughter by feeding her batteries, screws, and nail polish remover, reports the NY Post.

Aleisia Owens, 20, was arrested and charged Thursday. The arrest came after an autopsy revealed that, Iris Rita Alfera had fatal levels of acetone in her blood. On June 25, 2023, Iris’ father, Bailey Jacoby, left her with Owens while he ran errands. Owens, who was living with Jacoby at the time, later called him and said something was wrong with Iris. Jacoby rushed back home only to find his baby unresponsive and immediately called 911 for help.

Iris was quickly taken to a local hospital for urgent medical attention. However, due to the severity of her condition, she was airlifted to UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, approximately an hour away. Tragically, the young girl succumbed to organ failure four days later.

Owens initially told officers that the child had fallen off the bed and hit her head during a

    “cramp-up”

episode. However, the autopsy conducted by the Attorney General’s Office revealed that Iris had ingested various items, including

    “water beads,”

button-shaped batteries, and a metal screw, months before her untimely death. Disturbingly, Owens had also looked up

“household products that could cause a child serious harm or death.”

Iris resided with her mother, Emily Alfera, and her grandparents, while her father, Jacoby, had visitation rights. The father was not arrested in connection to his daughter’s death.

“There was nothing throughout the investigation to show that he had any knowledge or involvement about what happened to the baby. He was questioned multiple times and was cooperative.”

Aleisia Owens is now facing multiple charges, including homicide, attempted homicide, aggravated assault of a child, endangering the welfare of a child, and other offenses related to the child’s tragic death. She is currently held without bond at Lawrence County Jail.

  • Teens Assaulted By Friend’s Mother, Who Is Also Parental Rights Activist, During A Chaotic ‘Alcohol-Fueled’ Birthday Party

Teens Assaulted By Friend’s Mother, Who Is Also Parental Rights Activist, During A Chaotic ‘Alcohol-Fueled’ Birthday Party

A Pennsylvania politician who advocated for

    “parental rights”

in education is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a teenager during a boozy affair she hosted for her underage daughter’s birthday, Law & Crime reported.

Clarice Schillinger, 36, is accused of assault, harassment, and providing alcohol to a minor, as stated in court records. The incident reportedly occurred during a basement birthday party for Schillinger’s 17-year-old daughter in September. Police responded to a call at around 3 a.m. on September 30th at Schillinger’s residence which she had been renting since early 2023.

According to a probable cause affidavit, approximately 15-20 minors between the ages of 15 and 18 were at the party, which had started around 10 p.m. the previous night.

“In the basement was a bar area that was stocked with alcoholic beverages to include New Amsterdam vodka and Malibu Bay Breeze rum,”

    the affidavit says.

“Schillinger not only provided the alcoholic beverages, but poured shots and drank along with the minors, even participating in drinking games.”

One of the party-going teenagers reported that an altercation between the adults occurred in the early hours.

“Schillinger’s intoxicated boyfriend (Shan Wilson) had punched a 15-year-old juvenile (identified as E.G.) in the face, causing her to escort her boyfriend upstairs to the second floor,”

a teen identified by the initials A.M. told police.

The teens began to gradually leave the party when another altercation broke out with Schillinger’s mother, who reportedly punched A.M., a teenager, in the eye and chased him around a kitchen island before assaulting a 17-year-old girl, police say. The violence was captured on several cell phone videos.

“While multiple minors were gathering by the front door to leave the property in defiance of Schillinger’s order to stay,”

    a teen was

“assaulted by Clarice when she punched him three times on the left side of his face/chin area,”

    the affidavit says.

According to the affidavit, this isn’t the first underage drinking party Schillinger has had.

Schillinger, a member of the Republican party, made an unsuccessful bid for the position of lieutenant governor in the Keystone State. Unfortunately, she came in fourth place in the primary election. Her lawyer said in a statement,

“Ms. Schillinger has dedicated her life to public service…”

    and

“has always been a law abiding citizen.”

  • High School Students Oganize Walkout To Protest Trans Bathroom Rule, Student Says Girls ‘Didn’t Want Men In Their Bathroom’

High School Students Oganize Walkout To Protest Trans Bathroom Rule, Student Says Girls ‘Didn’t Want Men In Their Bathroom’

Many students from Pennsylvania’s Perkiomen Valley School District walked out of class because the local school board did not pass a policy requiring transgender students to use restrooms based on their biological sex, reports FOX News

John Ott, the organizer of the walkout said,

“Kids were upset. Girls… we wanted to protect them. They were upset. They didn’t want men in their bathroom.”

Ott’s mother Stephanie said the district was merely protecting transgender students and failed to analyze the

    “full picture.”

    She said,

“The safety of females is so important and these students that stood out that walked out, they are to be commended. They have courage and they exercise their First Amendment rights. This is about protecting our children and our privacy, and boys and girls. It’s simple biology.”

The students were upset and wanted to protect the girls’ privacy. A father claimed that his daughter had a bad experience with a transgender student in the restroom, but they weren’t sure if the student was actually a biological male. Other students also expressed discomfort with biological males using women’s restrooms. They feel that their voices are not being heard, and it’s frustrating for them to handle these issues when adults should be involved.

The school board’s president respected the outcome of the vote and acknowledged the students’ right to voice their opinions during the protest.

“Although I voted differently than the majority of the board, as board president, I respect the outcome of the vote and those who voted against expediting the policy,” said the Perkiomen Valley School Board’s president told FOX News.”

    The president added,

“I also appreciate our student body, those who came to our previous board meeting to vote, and the 300+ students who used their First Amendment right to voice their opinion in favor of the policy during their protest on Friday.”

The 40-year-old nurse is currently facing a slew of charges including homicide concerning the deaths of an 83-year-old man, a 55-year-old man, and the injury of a man who is 73. The Attorney General said,

“As the charges indicate, these were deliberate and intentional acts perpetrated by a caregiver who was trusted to care for these victims.”

Pressdee worked at Quality Life Services, a retirement nursing establishment. The 83-year-old and 55-year-old patients grew ill in the nurses’ care back on Nov. 19, 2022. The victims resided in a room connected, says an affidavit. The victims were taken to a hospital the next day when they became hypoglycemic. The unidentified 83-year-old was taken to the hospital before for hypoglycemia back in Oct 2022. The affidavit says the nurse gave the patients

    “lethal doses of insulin,”

a hormone given to diabetic patients, reports The Post. Two out of the three victims didn’t have diabetes.

One witness, a nurse practitioner, remembered a discussion with Pressde. The witness told officials that the nurse said the unnamed 83-year-old patient would be

    “better off dead.”

The last victim who was in Pressde’s care was transported to the hospital; however, he was treated and luckily, survived.

The woman was later arrested at her home and during an interview, she confessed to injecting two patients with insulin. Officials wrote in an affidavit,

“She stated that she felt bad for their quality of life and she had hoped that they would just slip into a coma and pass away.”

  • Judge Ruled That Pennsylvania School District Must Allow After School Satan Club To Meet

Judge Ruled That Pennsylvania School District Must Allow After School Satan Club To Meet

According to the New York Post, a federal judge declared that a school district in Pennsylvania must let a Satanist club meet, referring to the club’s first amendment rights. Judge John M. Gallagher penned in a filing that the Saucon Valley School District disregarded the After School Satan Club’s free speech liberties after the district revoked its agreement allowing the club the meet at the school, reports the Morning Call

The club’s approval was withdrawn earlier in the year after the promotional flyers caused an uproar within the Lehigh Valley community. The club is sponsored by the Satanic Temple. According to the Hill, in March, the national ACLU, the ACLU of Pennsylvania, and Dechert LLP sued the district on behalf of the Satanic Temple, reports The Post.

“Here, although The Satanic Temple, Inc.’s objectors may challenge the sanctity of this controversially named organization, the sanctity of the First  Amendment’s protections must prevail,”

    said the Judge.

Although Judge Gallagher denied the school district’s belief that the club went against the advertising rules and regulations, he banned the satanic club from giving out permission slips and flyers because the school didn’t allow the practice anymore.

    The flyer read,

“HEY KIDS! LET’S HAVE FUN AT AFTER SCHOOL SATAN CLUB! SCIENCE & COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS! PUZZLES AND GAMES! NATURE ACTIVITIES! ARTS AND CRAFTS! SNACKS! & TONS OF FUN! PARENTS, YOUR CHILD WILL LEARN… BENEVOLENCE & EMPATHY, CRITICAL THINKING, PROBLEM-SOLVING, CREATIVE, EXPRESSION, PERSONAL SOVEREIGNTY, COMPASSION”

The ruling stated that the school district must let the

“After School Satan Club meet on three previously selected dates at Saucon Valley Middle School in aptly named Hellertown,”

reports The Post. The first meeting is scheduled for next week.

Reports added that the group doesn’t worship satan as an evil being; however, they utilize the symbol as a representation of free thought and will.
