  • Anti-Israel QR Codes In NYC Promote ‘Free’ McDonald’s and Starbucks, But Redirect Customers To Disturbing ‘War Crime’ Videos

Anti-Israel QR Codes In NYC Promote ‘Free’ McDonald’s and Starbucks, But Redirect Customers To Disturbing ‘War Crime’ Videos

Fake QR code stickers are appearing throughout New York City, misleading people into thinking they offer discounts and giveaways, but instead, they link to disturbing videos of injured children and anti-Israel messages, as reported by The Post.

This strategy is part of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which advocates for boycotting companies perceived to support Israel. The Post discovered these stickers being placed at various chain restaurants and shops in Midtown this week. One QR code found at a McDonald’s on Sixth Avenue directed users to a flyer accusing the fast-food chain of

    “war crimes”

    and

    “McGenocide”

for supplying meals to the Israel Defense Forces.

“Hitting BDS targets including Starbucks, McDonald’s and Zara across 68 storefronts in Manhattan neighborhoods, activists enticed shoppers with coupon codes offering discounts and freebies,”

a video from the group NJ PalAction explained.

NJ PalAction is urging its social media followers to contribute to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) or the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF), both of which have alleged connections to terrorist organizations. Those who can show evidence of their donation will receive PDFs to create the misleading stickers at home, which they can then distribute throughout the city.

New Yorkers are particularly troubled by the possibility of children encountering these messages.

“This is part of a continuing campaign to shock New Yorkers and to disrupt New York with nothing less than Jew hatred,”

said Gerard Filitti, senior counsel at The Lawfare Project and #EndJewHatred.

“They’re spreading disinformation that’s causing real harm,”

he added. Filitti also pointed out the legal concerns surrounding the vandalism of private property and the unauthorized use of intellectual property.

  • Starbucks Employees Organize Strikes That May Impact Hundreds Of Stores By Christmas Eve, Reports Say

Starbucks Employees Organize Strikes That May Impact Hundreds Of Stores By Christmas Eve, Reports Say

Starbucks employees are set to embark on a five-day strike starting Friday to protest the stalled contract negotiations with the company, according to ABC News. The strikes will kick off in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Seattle, with the potential to expand to hundreds of stores nationwide by Christmas Eve.

Starbucks Workers United, the union representing employees at 535 company-owned U.S. locations since 2021, claims that Starbucks has not fulfilled its commitment made in February to establish a labor agreement this year. The union is also calling on the company to address ongoing legal matters, including numerous unfair labor practice complaints filed with the National Labor Relations Board.

The union highlighted that Starbucks’ new Chairman and CEO Brian Niccol, who took office in September, could earn over $100 million in his first year. However, the company recently proposed an economic package that offers no immediate wage increases for unionized baristas and only a 1.5% increase in subsequent years, according to the union.

“Union baristas know their value, and they’re not going to accept a proposal that doesn’t treat them as true partners,”

said Lynne Fox, president of Workers United.

“In a year when Starbucks invested so many millions in top executive talent, it has failed to present the baristas who make its company run with a viable economic proposal,”

said Fatemeh Alhadjaboodi, a Starbucks barista from Texas and bargaining delegate, in a statement.

However, Starbucks said in a statement

“We are ready to continue negotiations to reach agreements. We need the union to return to the table.”

Starbucks stated that it currently provides pay and benefits — including free college tuition and paid family leave — that amount to $30 per hour for baristas who work a minimum of 20 hours each week.

  • Starbucks Fires Barista Working Through Paramedic School Who Heroically Subdued Robbers After Getting Pistol-Whipped

Starbucks Fires Barista Working Through Paramedic School Who Heroically Subdued Robbers After Getting Pistol-Whipped

A Starbucks barista, Michael Harrison, was fired after he helped subdue two robbers who attacked him at his workplace in downtown St. Louis, per the NY Post.

Harrison was reportedly cooperative with the robbers until one of the criminals hit him in the head with his gun. A co-worker jumped in to defend Harrison, resulting in a brawl with other bystanders and the assailants.  The robbers were eventually apprehended by the police.

Harrison and his co-worker were placed on paid leave while Starbucks investigated the incident.

“I got a call a few weeks later,”

    Harrison said.

“Once the media died down. They told me they were terminating me. I was surprised. I was distraught. I was confused.”

According to Harrison’s attorney Ryan Krupp, the company informed both Harrison and his coworker that they had breached company policy, but did not provide specific details.

“We were deeply disturbed to learn of this frightening incident,”

a Starbucks spokesperson told The Post.

“Partner safety is at the core of how we operate in our stores, and we are so grateful that our partners and customers did not come to greater harm in this situation.”

    They went on to add,

“Our training and protocols guide our partners to comply and de-escalate, not just for their safety but for the safety of all in the store.”

Harrison no longer has an income and expressed that he is facing difficulties in covering his bills and tuition.

“That job was helping me pay for college,”

    he said.

“I just don’t understand it. I thought it was the right thing to do.”

Krupp says that they are currently preparing a lawsuit, which will be filed within the next few weeks.

“When the robbers came in, my client complied and tried to open the cash register when he was struck in the head by one of the gunman,”

    Krupp said.

“At that point you’re in a position to defend yourself.”

  • White Woman In Blackface Harasses Target and Starbucks Customers In Colorado With Disturbed Rants

White Woman In Blackface Harasses Target and Starbucks Customers In Colorado With Disturbed Rants

Former Colorado postal worker, Ersilia Campbell, was recorded on video displaying racist behavior at an Aurora Target store and Starbucks

A video acquired by TMZ shows Campbell entering Target with her face smeared with dark makeup, engaging in irrational rants about

    “whiteface”

    and politics.

“Lester Holt did ‘whiteface’ and nobody said s–t,”

the video captures Campbell responding to an employee who confronted her regarding the offensive face paint.

She reportedly demanded to see the store’s Pride section and was noticeably upset when employees informed her that Pride Month had concluded in June.

“Oh, I thought they were celebrating this and they took our flag forever, no?”

Campbell responded, seemingly alluding to the rainbow flag that is commonly associated with LGBTQIA+ Pride.

    “I don’t shop at Target,”

she said as she walked out of the store.

However, Campbell’s unsettling and racially offensive conduct did not end there. Later the same day, she uploaded a self-recorded video from a nearby Starbucks where she continued to display her face painted in black and wore a Mickey Mouse shirt decorated with Donald Trump campaign stickers.

“I never treat myself to Starbucks since the post office got rid of me,”

    she said.

“Trump is coming … I’m showing my t–ies,”

she teased, leaning back to show off the two stickers.

According to TMZ, Campbell’s LinkedIn profile states that she held the position of operations supervisor at the United States Postal Service, however, she was terminated in February.

In the Starbucks video, Campbell announced that she was on her

“way to the post office for a job,”

    claiming,

“they will never recognize my picture now,”

as she giggled maniacally, referring to the blackface.

TMZ obtained a photo showing a bulletin distributed by USPS to its current employees, which identified Campbell as a trespasser. This alarming incident has raised concerns about racial intolerance and inappropriate behavior.

  • Former Starbucks Manager Who Was Fired After The 2018 Arrests Of Two Black Men Accused Of ‘Trespassing,’ Awarded $25M From The Company

Former Starbucks Manager Who Was Fired After The 2018 Arrests Of Two Black Men Accused Of ‘Trespassing,’ Awarded $25M From The Company

A former manager of the Starbucks that went viral for calling the police on two black men, was rewarded over $25 million after accusing the franchise of racial discrimination, NY Post reported.

Shannon Phillips claims the company was

    “punishing white employees”

after the 2018 incident that involved two black men who were wrongfully arrested at the store after they were accused of trespassing. Rashon Nelson and Donte Robinson made headlines after a viral video showed the two men being removed from the store in handcuffs. The two men were later released but the video had already sparked outrage. Starbucks has since implemented new policy changes and has reached an undisclosed settlement with the men.

Phillips was a regional manager of operations in Philadelphia and New Jersey, at the time but said she had no involvement in the legal actions taken against Nelson and Robinson. Phillips accused Starbucks of trying to force her to place another white manager (that allegedly had no connection to the incident) on administrative leave. Phillips refused to follow the orders given and was later terminated.

“[White employees were being] punished in an effort to convince the community that it had properly responded to [Nelson and Robinson’s] incident,”

    Phillips’s lawsuit claimed.

Starbucks responded stating that Phillips was let go because they

“need someone more experienced with ‘leading’ during a business crisis.”

Fast forward 4 years later, Phillips was recently rewarded $600,000 in compensatory damages and $25 million in punitive damages, by a New Jersey jury that ruled unanimously in her favor. It was ruled that Starbucks

“displayed racial injustice and violation of federal/state anti-discrimination laws.”
