“Where Is Wendy Williams?” aired a few days ago, and many have not stopped talking about it. Following her step back from her show, the media mogul has suffered a health decline. But somehow, someone believed it was best to show her reality in the docuseries. Now, “Where Is Wendy Williams?” reviews are pouring in from concerned fans.

“Where is Wendy Williams?” Review From Different Sources

Before the two-part series aired, many fans were not pleased with the trailer. Following its premiere on Feb. 24, many fans, including family and loved ones, revealed their displeasure with the docuseries. The docuseries focused on Wendy’s erratic behavior and her addiction to alcohol. It also highlighted her mental health, convincing viewers that her aphasia and dementia diagnoses were all true.

HotNewHipHop reported that Sabrina Morrissey, who is currently Wendy’s legal guardian, made a move to restrict the film from making it to TV. She had filed a lawsuit against Lifetime, the network responsible for airing it, while asking for a restraining order.

At the same time, Kevin Hunter Sr., Wendy’s ex-husband, was less than pleased. What he found more disappointing was that their son, Kevin Jr., joined the filming.

According to a source:

“Kevin was shocked to see his ex-wife portrayed in such a negative light in the Lifetime trailer. He was also totally blindsided that their son, Kevin Jr, ended up signing onto the project after he initially said he wanted nothing to do with it.”

Fans Dig Into Where Is Wendy Williams? Docuseries

Like Kevin Sr., most reviews show fans are not feeling “Where Is Wendy Williams?” documentary. They claimed it did little to put Wendy in a good light, nor was it the best comeback plan. Some didn’t think that filming a vulnerable woman was appropriate in any way. A few commenters believed it was exploitative and that Wendy might not have consented to filming.

One person quipped:

“I want to know who signed off on this documentary, and who is making money from it. That person needs to get dragged to the pits of hell. #WhereIsWendyWilliams.”

The first time the public heard about Wendy being exploited was when she stepped away from handling her financial duties. Her son claimed that she was being manipulated to make some decisions.
