A young boy, who is merely 8 years old, has been apprehended in Florida after reportedly slashing a foster child’s throat and then threatening to

“kill everyone,”

officials say. The incident occurred close to 4:25 p.m. at a home in Clermont. The 8-year-old boy attacked and choked a boy, 13, who’s a foster child at the home, says an incident report attained by the New York Post

After the 13-year-old was choked for 10 seconds, he began to complain about not being able to breathe. He then kicked the 8-year-old boy, which forced him to let him loose. When the teen boy attempted to approach the young boy to talk to him later on, the boy reportedly snatched a butter knife from the kitchen and cut the teen’s throat. Luckily, a neighbor who witnessed the attack was able to grab the knife from the 8-year-old and deliver it to a woman who lived at the home.

The young boy then tried to look for another weapon, saying that he was going to

“kill everyone.”

He went on to take a stick and attempted to hit the teen with it; however, other children who saw the attempted attack managed to stop him. When officials arrived at the scene, the 8-year-old was allegedly

“crying”

begging them not to arrest him. The boy kicked an officer in the stomach and resisted when officials tried to put him in the patrol vehicle. The boy was later transported to the Lake County Detention Center.

Luckily, the teen foster kid wasn’t brutally injured and was responsive while being interviewed by officials.

The 8-year-old has been charged with

“aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, battery by strangulation, battery on a law enforcement officer, and resisting a law enforcement officer,”

reports The Post.
