Daycare Worker Charged for Allegedly Pulling Out ‘Handful’ of 1-Year-Old’s Hair, Police Say

A daycare worker in Kentucky has been arrested after she reportedly confessed to pulling a toddler’s hair and “removing a substantial amount of hair from the child’s head,” according to local authorities as reported by PEOPLE

Kesha Cochran, 24, was taken into custody following the incident at a daycare in Leitchfield, Ky., on Tuesday, March 11, as stated by the Leitchfield Police Department. Police launched an investigation after receiving a report concerning an injured 1-year-old at the daycare, ultimately concluding that the injury appeared to be of a “suspicious nature,” according to the statement.

Surveillance video from the daycare revealed that Cochran was supervising a group of young children when she approached the unnamed 1-year-old and, without any apparent reason, pulled the child’s hair. The victim “began screaming uncontrollably,” police said. The investigation found that the child had a bald patch measuring more than 6 centimeters on their scalp.

The video footage indicated that after pulling out the child’s hair, Cochran seemingly threw a “handful of hair” into the trash. In her interview, Cochran confessed to “intentionally” causing harm to the child. According to court records, she has been charged with first-degree criminal abuse. The investigation is still ongoing.

A former Spirit Airlines flight attendant has been charged with hitting her boyfriend on the head with a beer bottle after he jokingly referred to her as “a junkie” during a night out at Funky Buddha Brewery in Florida, per The Post

Annie Bryn Flaherty, 36, informed officers who arrived at the Fort Lauderdale brewery last week that her boyfriend’s joke upset her to the point of tears, as detailed in a police report obtained by WPLG. She also told officers that the boyfriend “beat her up.”

The boyfriend, who has not been named, acknowledged calling her a “junkie” but provided a different account of the events that occurred. He claimed that the ex-flight attendant initially reacted to his comment by pouring a beer over him, according to the documents. He was then struck on the head with a glass beer bottle when they got to the car, according to the documents.

Flaherty was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and was taken to Broward County Jail, from which she has since been released on bond. The affidavit noted Flaherty’s position as a Spirit Airlines flight attendant; however, the airline informed The Post that she had not been employed there for several years.

Xvavier Worthy’s Ex-Fiancée Gets Protective Order Against NFL Star as District Attorney Decides Not to Pursue Domestic Violence Charges

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy’s ex-fiancée, who accused him of choking her last week, has been granted a temporary protective order against him. This order will remain in effect until a hearing set for April 1, according to the New York Times.

Worthy, 21, was arrested on Friday, March 7, for allegedly choking Jones and faced charges of assaulting a family or household member by impeding their breath. He has since been released from police custody. Following the arrest, Worthy’s attorneys, Chip Lewis and Sam Bassett, issued a statement asserting that Jones was asked to leave Worthy’s home due to suspicions of infidelity.

According to his lawyers, Worthy hired a private investigator who revealed video evidence of his ex-fiancée, professional track star Tia Jones, being unfaithful. When Worthy confronted her and asked her to leave, she reportedly refused, attempted to extort him, and caused damage to his property. Worthy’s legal team also claims that Jones physically assaulted him; however, he opted not to file charges against her.

On Saturday, March 8, Williamson County District Attorney Shawn Dick informed The Austin American-Statesman that his office would not be pursuing the case after interviewing several witnesses. That same day, the Chiefs told the Associated Press they were still in the process of “gathering information” regarding the situation involving Worthy.

Illegal Immigrant in Long Island Killed His 2-Month-Old Daughter Because He Believed She Wasn’t His Baby

An illegal immigrant is accused of murdering his 2-month-old daughter because he doubted her paternity, per the NY Post. The suspect, 20-year-old Marlon Rabanales-Pretzantzin, allegedly slapped little Liseyda Rabanales-Barrios in the face, punched her in the stomach, and shook her violently inside his Inwood home on March 7, as stated in the criminal complaint.

He reportedly threw her onto a bed and deliberately pressed his fist into her chest. The infant was left with rib injuries and a fractured vertebra in her neck due to the shaking. The young father was charged with murder on Wednesday after he confessed to taking the life of the baby.

Rabanales-Pretzantin told police that “although he is listed as the father on the birth certificate, he suspects that he is not the father so he lost affection for the baby and felt some kind of animosity,” Nassau County Detective Lieutenant Scott Skrynecki told The Post. A 911 call was made reporting that the baby had “rolled off the bed” in the home located near Maple Road and Elm Road at approximately 10:40 a.m., according to police.

An autopsy conducted by a medical examiner determined that the cause of death was homicide. Authorities stated that Rabanales-Pretzantzin, a migrant from Guatemala, crossed the Mexico-El Paso border in 2022. He was detained by Border Patrol and subsequently released, as noted by Skrynecki. Afterward, Rabanales-Pretzantzin traveled to Virginia before arriving in Nassau County. He was arraigned in Nassau County Court on Thursday and is being held without bail.

Florida Man Trying to Kill Ex-Girlfriend in Drunken Rage Chases Wrong Vehicle, Resulting Death of Innocent Woman

A Florida man who threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend, ended up taking the life of an innocent woman after mistakenly pursuing the wrong car in a drunken rage, according to Too Fab.

Kyle Hill, 33, was apprehended on charges of DUI manslaughter, vehicular homicide, and violating probation after a crash that resulted in the death of 28-year-old Arislenni Blanco-Medina and left her boyfriend, Norbelis Figueredo-Campos, injured. The charges against him had been elevated to first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder, St. Petersburg Police Department revealed.

An Unfortunate Case of Mistaken Identity

The incident took place on Sunday in St. Petersburg at around 8 PM. Hill had an argument with his ex-girlfriend, and she left in a friend’s car, police reported. He took his Nissan SUV to look for her where he reportedly spotted a Honda. The car was the same make and model as the one his ex was driving, but was a different color, Police Chief Anthony Holloway told FOX 13. “While chasing a car, he called her again and said… ‘I’m going to kill you, your friend, and myself,’” Holloway added.

Hill “began aggressively chasing and harassing the Honda for several blocks,” per police. Inside the car were Figueredo-Campos and Blanco-Medina, both of whom had recently moved to Florida from Cuba. Family members revealed during the press conference that Blanco-Medina had only been in the U.S. for a few months before her tragic death. The couple was reportedly headed to Walmart when Hill “continued to pursue them,” as stated by police.

He “forced them off the road” onto the sidewalk, where they collided with a concrete pole, which then fell and crushed the vehicle. Blanco-Medina lost her life in the incident, while Figueredo-Campos was taken to the hospital with severe injuries, according to authorities. Hill’s blood alcohol level was “over twice the legal limit.” He is currently being held without bail.

Ta’Lyjah Monea Conner, 23, and Devonte Tremayne Hall, 27, were arrested by Midland police after their daughter was seen walking alone along Rankin Highway while it was still dark outside. • Embalmer Charged with Castrating Corpse of Deceased Man After Discovering He Was a Sex Offender

Embalmer Charged with Castrating Corpse of Deceased Man After Discovering He Was a Sex Offender

A Texas embalmer is facing charges for allegedly abusing a corpse after reportedly severing a deceased man’s penis and placing it in his mouth, per Law & Crime

The investigation was initiated when the Harris County Constable’s Office Precinct 1 received a complaint from the Texas Funeral Service Commission. This complaint came from a funeral director at Claire Brothers Funeral Home, which oversees Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, where the incident allegedly took place.

The funeral director was informed by staff that 34-year-old Amber Paige Laudermilk, a licensed embalmer, had disfigured a body. When Laudermilk discovered that the deceased, 58-year-old Charles Roy Rodriguez, was a registered sex offender, she supposedly used a scalpel on February 7 to remove part of his genitals and “stuffed it in his mouth.” She instructed a trainee present during the incident, saying, “You didn’t see anything,” as reported in the affidavit.

When other staff members came to check on the body, Laudermilk allegedly covered the groin area with a sheet and mentioned that the deceased had “a lot going on with him.” Rodriguez was listed on the sex offender registry after being convicted in 2008 for sexually assaulting a woman, which resulted in a 10-year deferred adjudication, as stated by Constable Alan Rosen.

Laudermilk surrendered to the Harris County Jail on Monday and has since been released on a $5,000 bond. She is no longer employed at the facility, and the state plans to suspend or revoke her embalming license, as reported by local NBC affiliate KPRC.
