Bobby Shmurda‘s booking agent has slammed the rapper for blaming him for his canceled tour. Shmurda apologized to fans on Tuesday and said he would be accountable for the canceled tour. However, he blamed his tour promoter and booking agent for the situation, saying they mishandled it. The rapper’s agent responded shortly after and explained why Bobby Shmurda’s tour was canceled. He slammed Shmurda for not being accountable as promised and claimed the rapper was at fault.
Bobby Shmurda Calls Out Tour Team for Cancelled Event
Bobby Shmurda took to Instagram on Tuesday, May 6, to call out his booking agent for his canceled tour. He apologized to fans for the canceled tour, which would have been held between May 15 and June 19. The 2025 Still Alive Tour would have been held in 19 cities, including Boston, Houston, Los Angeles, Washington, and Phoenix. The rapper promised to take “full responsibility,” but went ahead and blasted his booking agent and promoter.
“Hey to all my fans I apologize for the tour being canceled,” he began on Instagram. “I take full responsibility, I have to go through lawsuits with these guys @philipstengel works at @halotouring @igetgwop that I knew better to do business with. Let this be a life lesson to all business owners and affiliate . Don’t leave nothing in no one hands don’t matter how much you gotta work.”
He continued, “Nobody’s gonna treat your work like it’s you except if you got a top pause, done expert,, but that happens once in a blue moon because you have money does not make you a boss anyways I apologize again to all of my fans I might have to go through some lawsuits and lawyer fee money a.k.a. The industry most wanted ain’t nothing new I been fighting.”
Bobby Shmurda Blames Cancelled Tour On Internal Fighting
Bobby Shmurda also attached screenshots that showed some internal skirmishes, implying that they led to his canceled tour. The conversations were between his booking agent, Philip Stengel, who works with Halo Touring, and Sergio Patillo. Patillo, a.k.a Go Gwop, is the founder and CEO of Oakstreet Media. The men had a heated exchange over the concert’s marketing and promotion.
One of the texts from Stengel read, “Hey bitch lmk if you need the book mailing address to sue me.” he added, “And anytime we can run the fucking fade ain’t no bitch here you ain’t gonna talk to me like you have been.” However, Gwop tried to placate him. “[Tempers] flared and things were said from both sides call it even as men and lets follow through with what we started,” he wrote. “In this business we have moments that aren’t so pretty at times no need to sue or stop any tour because men had [an] argument it happens.”
Bobby Shmurda’s Booking Agent Slams Him For Post About Cancelled Tour
Phillip Stengel and Gwop settled their argument, especially after the latter discovered that some promoters made mistakes when running ads. However, Stengel didn’t overlook the rapper’s post. He took to Instagram to share that Bobby Shmurda canceled his tour himself. He said the rapper did so when asked to postpone the tour due to poor ticket sales. Stengel called Shmurda’s post a “distraction,” adding, “The facts are the facts.”
“Let’s be clear: the tour was canceled because average ticket sales across markets were 10 per city. That’s not viable under any circumstances—no matter the artist or budget,” Stengel explained. “Bobby Shmurda chose to publicly vent rather than acknowledge performance metrics. His frustration is understood, but the numbers don’t lie. The problem wasn’t promotion—it was demand. He continued, “This industry isn’t about emotion; it’s about execution. If 10 people are buying tickets, there’s no show. Period.”
Stengel also shared screenshots on his Instagram Stories to prove his point. The screenshots revealed that Shmurda’s tour only sold five tickets for Washington, D.C., and none for Hampton, Virginia, and Denver dates. “10 tickets per city. No ads. No promo,” he captioned the post. “But the booking agent gets blamed? I advised a reschedule. The artist canceled then went public.”
Bobby Shmurda hasn’t released a hit song since leaving prison in 2021, which supports Stengel’s point about the canceled tour. Hopefully, the rapper will take the feedback and fix the root issue before trying to arrange another tour.
