Ashlee Braxton, the Braxton sisters‘ niece, told fans the consequences of her spilling her family’s secrets. She revealed that her dad threatened to sue her if she didn’t keep her mouth shut. Last year, Ashlee exposed the emotional, physical, and mental abuse she suffered from her dad and stepmom and also disclosed the reason she is estranged from one of her famous aunties. However, she didn’t reveal who it was and promised not to mention anyone’s name as she moved on with her exposé.
Ashlee Braxton Threatened With Lawsuit over Family Secrets
Ashlee Braxton has told fans she is not giving up on sharing her story and exposing family secrets. The niece of the Braxton sisters has been vocal about the trauma she suffered from her family while growing up. From her latest update, she is prepared to go all the way. In a clip obtained by Onsite, Ashlee said in a text overlaid on the video:
“When people want to silence you …. You have to have resilience!”
She provided more context when she revealed her dad threatened to sue her. The emcee said:
“So first update is that I got a message yesterday from my father, and he said to zip it up tight. Don’t speak. Don’t speak girl and that he lawyered up and that I shan’t speak of his name or the household and other things, etc.”
She added:
“[He said] he would take legal action, so I’ve decided to again not use his name, which I’ve been trying to do with everybody. Not use anybody’s names, but I’ll also, like, speak and say like well, according to my childhood experience.”
Ashlee Braxton Determined to Unveil More Family Secrets
Ashlee continued with her update and said she would continue to expose more family secrets.
“But that doesn’t mean that I’m gonna stop. That I’m going to be silenced,” the events manager said. “Everyone has the right to tell their story, and everyone has the right to say whatever it is they want to say. So, I made a really good YouTube video, kinda like just updating y’all about how I’ve been feeling.”
She added that she expected the animosity from telling her story.
“Not everybody is going to agree with it. Not everybody is gonna like it. Not everybody is gonna cheer you on, and it’s a rollercoaster,” she said.
Some of the family secrets Aslee Braxton divulged included how an aunt treated her after assuming a 16-year-old Ashlee was involved with her man.
“One of my aunts in my family does not talk to me because they think that I, at the age of 16, did something with her partner at the time,” she said on TikTok last year.
Ashlee Braxton’s Parents Abused Her
Although Ashlee’s aunt supported her when she was 16, the aunt who was once “kind and very nice” no longer assumed her niece was innocent as she grew. Meanwhile, the emcee’s parents didn’t support her during this time. Another secret Ashlee Braxton revealed was how her mom divorced her dad when she was six. Ashlee’s mom abandoned the family and struck out her name from her children’s birth certificates. She married someone else and had children with him.
Meanwhile, Ashlee and her sister were physically, emotionally, and mentally abused by her dad and stepmom.
“My stepmom was also very abusive to my sister and I as well… Physical, mental, emotional, all of it. But, from those two was physical…and then she decided to be that way with my sister and I, but then there were moments where my dad was also physically abusive,” she said in a clip obtained by Onsite. “That’s kind of the only memories I have with my parents.”
Ashlee Braxton’s revelation of her family’s secrets indicates that she needs to heal and undergo therapy if she hasn’t done so yet. Hopefully, she can seek treatment and recover from the trauma and pain she carries.
