Sean “Diddy” Combs and R&B artist Cassie have reached a settlement in a lawsuit she filed against the renowned music producer, reports the New York Post. The lawsuit accused him of rape and physical abuse spanning more than ten years.

On Friday night, both parties involved in the lawsuit, per Cassie’s legal team, reached a satisfactory resolution to the claims. This comes just a day after the lawsuit was filed, causing a stir.

Cassie said in a statement,

“On Friday night, both parties involved in the lawsuit, according to Cassie’s legal team, reached a satisfactory resolution to the claims. This comes just a day after the lawsuit was filed in Manhattan federal court, causing quite a stir.”

Diddy’s statement said,

“We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best.” 

The details of the settlement were not made public.
