There has always been a trend of reviving popular TV shows. It’s never easy to say goodbye to a good television show. Whether it was on the air for years, or it only lasted a few months and received no finale. There are countless TV series that have been canceled before its time.
Here are 4 television series that need a revival:
The Gilmore Girls
Gilmore Girls is a popular series of the 2000s. It’s still a beloved show, capturing old and new fans with its balance of comedy and heartwarming moments. Netflix released a mini-series called Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, bringing Lorelei and Rory into the modern day. However, the ending to the four-part revival was a huge cliffhanger, concluding when Rory tells her mother she’s pregnant. The original series focused on Lorelei being a single mother, this ending made fans want to see what Rory’s life would be as a single mother in her 30s with a journalism career and a new book.
The Sopranos
The Sopranos follows Tony Soprano as he struggled to balance his personal issues while being a mob leader. The series was a huge hit and is still talked about today. The show brought up many real-life issues, including mental illness, affairs, violence, and betrayals.
Despite the fact that the final episode aired in 2007, The Sopranos saw a spike in streaming views in the 2020s. This gave die-hard fans the hope that the show would be revived for a modern-day drama.
Quantico

After three seasons, ABC’s Quantico starring Priyanka Chopra, who played an FBI agent, came to an end and left little on the table.
Quantico premiered on ABC on September 27, 2015. Produced by ABC Studios, the series was created by Joshua Safran, who also served as a showrunner for the series’ first two seasons. Mark Gordon, Robert Sertner, Nicholas Pepper and Safran are the executive producers behind the show. Notably, with her role as Alex Parrish, Priyanka Chopra became the first South Asian actress to headline an American network drama series.
Sex and the City
Carrie, Miranda, Samantha, and Charlotte are four smart and dynamic New York-based women, who despite their differences and ever-changing sex lives stick together through the ups and downs.
Surprisingly, there’s no news yet on a revival of the beloved Sex and the City. After all, what outlet would not want to create this mega-hit for a reboot? Of course, no combination of actresses can recreate the magic of Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon.
Kim already put an end to a third Sex and the City movie, and the only way you will probably get the remaining trio together is if they are mourning the death of Cattrall’s character Samantha Jones.

Killers Of The Flower Moon is produced and directed by Martin Scorsese, the film reveals America’s history.
The story is on a series of Oklahoma murders in the Osage Nation, committed after oil was gushing from the ground.
Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, and Lily Gladstone lead an ensemble cast.
Osage elders staidly bury a ceremonial pipe, mourning the assimilation of their descendants into white American society. Wandering through the badlands of their Oklahoma reservation, several Osage find oil gushing from the ground.
This tribe became wealthy after the exploitation of oil on their lands, but the laws required white guardians to manage their money.
As an admirable and respectable fan of the director, I will say this film is unquestionably and impressively well made. Scorsese’s new film poses isn’t in the sequential plot, it’s the puzzle of its own genesis in the fireside story.
The base of this film is that it spends its run time showing the perpetrators of the Osage murders. With Hale as the conniving architect getting exactly what they want.
An empathetic tale of what the Osage Nation went through in the 1920’s.

When a literary book agent tells his brilliant but less exciting author to write about
“Black stuff,”
He writes a successful novel titled
“My Pafology”
Full of
“deadbeat dads, rappers, and crack.”
That’s the premise of the new comedy film American Fiction from MGM and Orion Pictures.
Monk is a frustrated novelist who’s fed up with the establishment that profits from Black entertainment relying on tired and offensive tropes.
To prove his point, he uses a pen name to write an outlandish Black book of his own, a book that propels him to the heart of hypocrisy and the madness he claims to disdain.
Monk is peeved because his latest offering hasn’t caught fire with publishers, while a tome called
“We’s Lives in Da Ghetto”
By Sintara Golden hits the bestseller lists, leaving Monk seething.
It is Cord Jefferson‘s hilarious directorial debut, which confronts our culture’s obsession with reducing people to outrageous stereotypes.
Jeffrey Wright stars as Monk, a frustrated novelist who’s fed up with the establishment profiting from “Black” entertainment relying on tired and offensive tropes.
“American Fiction” is a genuine crowd-pleaser that doesn’t play it safe. It challenges the audience and will leave viewers talking for several hours, if not days, after seeing it.
Jamie Foxx‘s films are a testament to his remarkable talent and his willingness to take on a challenging roles. Foxx has consistently proven his ability to breathe life into every role he undertakes.
Ray (2004):
Foxx won the Best Actor Academy Award for his depiction of the great musician Ray Charles in this biographical drama. His commitment to portraying Charles’ particular voice and mannerisms was nothing short of astounding.
2. Django Unchained (2012):
Foxx gave a compelling performance as Django, a freed slave turned bounty hunter, under Quentin Tarantino‘s direction. His gravitas and magnetism in this spaghetti western demonstrated his capacity to hold the audience’s attention.
3. Collateral (2004):
Foxx in the character of Max, a cab driver who unknowingly becomes involved in a contract killer’s terrifying schemes. His portrayal of a typical guy who was tested to the maximum revealed his talent for playing emotionally powerful characters.
4. The Soloist (2009):
Nathaniel Ayers (Foxx), a musician suffering from mental illness. Foxx is wonderful as Ayers and avoids many of the pitfalls actors can fall into when playing mentally ill characters.
Instead of milking the situations Foxx finds the truth at the center of each scene and uses it to reveal tiny yet hugely affecting character notes.
5. The Players Club (1998):
Foxx, had the most assured performance in the film, playing Blue, a naive DJ who falls for Diana. He’s the most natural actor in the entire cast.
When the third act makes Blue the protagonist, Foxx rises to the occasion and closes the film on a high note.
#Clique, which of these movies makes you conclude that Foxx is the GOAT?
The horror genre has often served as a gateway for aspiring filmmakers, providing a platform for Black voices that may have been less accessible in other parts of Hollywood.
Tony Todd, a true legend in the industry, has made an indelible mark in the world of horror cinema. His portrayal of the iconic character Candyman in the cult classic films has solidified his status as one of the greatest characters in the genre’s history. Candyman tells the story of an African American artist who is tragically murdered due to his romantic involvement with a white woman.
Released in 1992, Candyman is an American gothic supernatural horror film written and directed by Bernard Rose. The film introduces Candyman as a ghostly figure summoned when his name is spoken three times in front of a mirror.
Tony Todd’s portrayal of Candyman holds a significant place in film history, as he became the first African American character to be immortalized as the main antagonist in a horror film. Despite sequels and a remake, it is difficult to surpass Todd’s iconic performance as this ghoulish entity.
What are your thoughts on Tony Todd’s incredible contribution to the horror genre?

From its eyebrow-raising title to its gleefully provocative humor, talented cast, and catchy songs, DICKS: The Musical is a cult movie in the making.
A twisted genre experiment that plays with sexuality, classic genre tropes, and general lunacy, it’s half a movie, but it’s so committed to its rebellious tone that it makes for a hell of a half. Reportedly, a production that ran as a two-man stage show by its leads for years.
The musical numbers are legitimately well-done, funny, witty, and sometimes even moving.
The film had its world premiere at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2023. On October 6, 2023, it was released in the United States by A24, as the studio’s first musical film.
