Chipotle Customer Arrested For Allegedly Shooting Employee After Disagreement About Guacamole

In a disturbing incident near Detroit, Michigan, a customer at a Chipotle restaurant allegedly shot an employee on Friday night, reports Fox News

The altercation took place at a Southfield location on Evergreen Road and reportedly started over a disagreement over guacamole. According to a witness, when the employee momentarily stepped went to the back of the restaurant, the customer took matters into their own hands, walking behind the counter and attempting to grab their food.

“Then the employee came back, and they started fighting, and then we heard a gunshot and just ran out as quickly as we could,”

he said. According to Southfield police, the employee was shot in the leg.

A customer who recorded a video of the argument said the suspect

“took his time getting out”

after allegedly firing the gun. 

“I was in my car and I saw him walk out to his car, close the door, and just drive off — he didn’t speed off or anything, it was weird to see,”

he said. 

Responding officers arrived at the scene and provided medical attention to the injured victim. The victim was then transported to a nearby hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition, with a non-life-threatening injury. 

Law enforcement apprehended the suspect, a 33-year-old man from Detroit, near the restaurant. The firearm used in the shooting was recovered by the police. As of now, authorities are still investigating the details surrounding the incident.
