Royce Reed still has a bone to grind with Dwight Howard, and she is not holding back. She was recently on Cam Newton’s Funky Friday podcast, where she revealed intimate details about Howard’s sexual preferences. She alleged that her ex was with other men and invited her to join them. Reed also detailed the abuse she suffered from the NBA star and how he tried to gag her into silence.

Royce Reed Reveals Dwight Howard Tried To Silence Her

Dwight Howard and Royce Reed rarely saw eye-to-eye during their relationship, which lasted for about three years, and the situation seems unchanged. The dancer shared her experience with Howard while on Cam Newton’s Friday episode of his Funky Friday podcast. Reed revealed that she was only now sharing the details of her failed relationship with Howard because of a privacy agreement that had now expired. According to the former Basketball Wives star, her ex used the document to silence her on the show.

“He had all these attorneys write up all these things. Like, ‘We just want wanna make sure, if she’s still gonna do the show, that she’s not gonna talk trash about him,'” Reed said at the (19:16) mark. “It says, I could not speak his name, show my child’s photo, say my child’s name (and) be around anyone that knew him.”

She claimed the basketball center did this because he was desperate to do “anything and everything” to maintain a facade of a smiling basketball player on the court and “Mr. Happy on Nickelodeon.”

Royce Reed Reveals Dwight Howard’s Sexual Preferences

Among the many things Royce Reed disclosed during her interview was the issue of Dwight Howard’s sexual orientation and how it concerned her. She revealed that the basketball father of five was gay and would often have men over and in their bed “all the time.” Reed claimed her ex used psychedelic mushrooms before he engaged in those encounters, but she didn’t partake. She disclosed this after Newton asked her if she ever witnessed [Howard] being with another man in the bed” around the (01:29:10) mark.

“Yeah. All the time,” she replied. “They took mushrooms together and then they were like in the bed moaning and touching themselves … but they say that’s an effect of taking mushrooms. I didn’t take them. I pretended to, but I didn’t. I spit them right out.”

Reed added that most of Howard’s sexual encounters happened during the quarantine period when he threw days-long parties. Meanwhile, the NBA champion’s children would be upstairs with the nanny at the time, but they would be “done for the night.”

Royce Reed Claims Dwight Howard Abused Her

Dwight Howard and Royce Reed dated for a while before they broke up due to the former’s infidelity. Reed revealed that they got back together because Howard begged her and because of her low self-esteem. However, their reunion led to sexual and physical abuse against Reed. The TV personality shared that it hurt her when people acted like she lied.

“So for them to minimize it and again act like my pain is unreal or like s*** didn’t happen, that bothers me because I did try to forgive and not do this,” she said.

Reed also claimed that Howard pulled a knife on her and raped her. Additionally, he once shoved her so that a door got broken. She told Newton:

“When he flung me into the entertainment center and then accidentally … [and] flung Braylon like there’s pictures of the entertainment center when I first moved into the house and when the doors are broken, the timeline sets up.”

However, Reed claims her ex’s family went online to call her a liar. Howard also had excuses and apologies, which made her stay with him.

Royce Reed’s disclosures about her relationship with Dwight Howard continue to reveal the turmoil and frustration she experienced during that time. Hopefully, she can focus on healing and regaining her self-worth.
