A Texas elementary school assistant principal was apprehended after reportedly bringing cocaine onto school premises, reports say. The woman, Jessica Sanchez,
“was taken into custody after a staff member discover the drugs in the school’s bathroom,”
reports FOX.
A Goose Creek Consolidated ISD said,
“We will not, under any circumstances, tolerate this type of behavior in our schools. Our campuses are a safe haven for students, and we will not have students in unsafe environments.”
Reports say that court records show that the Travis Elementary assistant principal posted $5,000 and is looking to be released from custody.
The woman’s page on the elementary school’s website has since been removed.
Sanchez has been charged with
“possession of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone,”
reports KTRK-TV.
