Former GMA3 co-hosts T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach had a whirlwind love affair that ultimately cost them their high-powered TV anchor jobs.

So, what did they do? Nothing more than love each other out loud. However, the attention they garnered caused so much controversy and dominated the headlines that ABC decided to let them go and live out their best lives elsewhere.

But the blowback was fierce since both were married yet separated or estranged from their spouses.
Robach recently admitted that the scandal was so daunting that she “wanted to die.”

“There were days when I wanted to die,” the 50-year-old cancer survivor recalled. “That was something I never experienced before in my life.”

Holmes and Robach opened up on their new podcast “Amy & T.J.” podcast about the circumstances and the aftermath that derailed their careers back in November 2022, Page Six reports.

“I just didn’t want to get up,” she admits. “I didn’t want to see what new headlines was going to be out there.”

Robach said her partner Holmes went through a “dark” time too. And she said she once had to do a “welfare check” to make sure he was ok.

“You were just splayed out on your bed. I ran to you and said, ‘T.J.,’ and you didn’t move,” Robach recalls. “It was the most awful thing having to touch your body and see if you were warm. I was so afraid. You were just incoherent.”

Now the two are finding their way back to wellness.
