Flight Attendant Fired For Filming Herself Twerking On The Job, Says ‘What’s Wrong With A Little Twerk Before Work’

GoFundMe

A former Alaska Airlines flight attendant, Nelle Diala, was terminated for twerking in a video and started a GoFundMe to support herself while looking for a new job. She recorded the TikTok video during a two-hour wait for the captain, per the New York Post

She captioned the viral video,

“ghetto bih till i D-I-E, don’t let the uniform fool you.”

Diala was celebrating finishing her probationary period with a dance. Sadly, Alaska Airlines terminated her job merely six months into her contract. However, the former flight attendant believes that she did nothing wrong.

She later reposted the video and captioned it,

“Can’t even be yourself anymore, without the world being so sensitive. What’s wrong with a little twerk before work, people act like they never did that before.”

She also hashtagged

“discriminationisreal.”

The ex-flight attendant started a GoFundMe page to support herself, claiming she was

“wrongfully fired,”

until she can find another job as a flight attendant.

She said the job let her meet new people and travel, but also helped fund her growing lingerie and dessert businesses. Her GoFundMe has only raised $182 of its $12,000 target.

#Clique, should she have been fired?
