“Head Bounced Off The Floor”: Cargiver’s Brutal Assault On 72-Year-Old Elderly Resident Ends In Tragic Death

Curtis Hightower, III/Richmond County Sheriff’s Office

Curtis Hightower III, 28, was arrested on Sunday and charged with exploitation of an elderly or disabled person and aggravated battery in connection with a January 5 incident that led to the death of 72-year-old Harry Millard.

According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, Hightower allegedly “struck Millard with a closed fist, causing said victim to fall to the ground, where the victim’s head bounced off the floor, resulting in said victim losing consciousness.”

Millard lost consciousness and succumbed to his injuries on January 17 at a local hospital.

Initially, Hightower claimed that Millard’s injuries were the result of an accidental fall. However, staff members reviewed security footage, which contradicted Hightower’s account and revealed the assault.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has not released further details about the incident, citing the ongoing investigation. Authorities are urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
