Ocala Police Department

31-year-old Taquino Williams has been arrested after being accused of raping an 80-year-old cancer patient, according to FOX. Ocala Police Department in Florida says Williams is homeless and he allegedly entered the patio of the woman’s

“apartment complex through a torn screen window.”

From there, he then went into her actual apartment by entering through the door, which was unlocked.

According to a Facebook post written by officials,

“Williams then found the victim in her room, where he raped her. The victim, who is also battling cancer, did not know the attacker.”

The homeless man reportedly had a screwdriver with him, which he poked the elderly woman with. Following the attack, officials began to search for Williams and he was later discovered on Friday morning walking close to a shopping center nearby at 6:15 a.m.

Officials say,

“He was taken into custody without incident and brought to the police headquarters for questioning. After the interview, Williams was arrested by Detective Boyer.”

Williams has been charged with

“armed residential burglary, armed sexual battery, and possession of burglary tools,”
