A man in Georgia, Brandon Logan, who is reportedly homeless, has been accused of making terroristic threats after reportedly holding two journalists from a television station captive for 90 minutes. He allegedly threatened to shoot them if they contacted the police or refused to get him food, per the New York Post.

Asia Wilson and Lauren Swaim, reporters from Atlanta News First, encountered a drunk man who claimed to have a handgun and cornered them in a sheriff’s office parking lot in Jonesboro late Monday, just moments before their live broadcast. Their outraged employer expressed that it reportedly took over 90 minutes for officials to respond and apprehend the suspect.

Reports added that a firearm wasn’t recovered after he was apprehended. Although the journalists were being terrorized, Wilson was able to text her employer secretly.

The station reported that after unsuccessful attempts to reach the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office, they called 911 for assistance.

Gary Stilwell, the assignment editor, received a call from a police officer who assured him that the crew was safe, who was male and female. However, Stilwell informed the officer that there should not be a man present and requested them to return if they didn’t find two females. Concerned about the situation, three ANF colleagues hurried to the location and stopped a police car during their 20-minute drive.

After a while, the officer discovered that the suspect was still with the journalists. However, it took about 90 minutes for backup to arrive, which is being investigated by the news station. Still, ANF has no answers from officials.

Reports added that the homeless man is facing multiple charges including

“terroristic threats.”
