Leonel Moreno, an illegal migrant influencer, was apprehended by immigration authorities in Columbus, Ohio. He had previously mocked America in viral videos and was wanted by ICE after entering the country illegally in Texas back in 2022, per the New York Post

An ICE spokesperson informed The Post,

“Leonel Moreno is an unlawfully present citizen of Venezuela, who illegally entered the country on April 23, 2022.”

“Moreno was placed into the Alternatives To Detention program by Border Patrol and was told to report to Enforcement and Removal Operations office within 60 days of arriving at his destination,”

the spokesperson said.

The statement continued,

“Moreno did not report as required. On March 29, 2024, Moreno was arrested in Gahanna, Ohio by officers with ERO Detroit’s Columbus office and is currently detained pending further immigration proceedings.”

Moreno utilized social media to urge migrants to enter the country and occupy American homes while he resided in the United States. He flaunted cash and claimed to receive government aid. Moreno even showcased a social security card and bragged about his earnings from begging.

Moreno said in a video on Instagram,

“I didn’t cross the Rio Grande to work like a slave.. I came to the US to mark my territory.”

TikTok recently banned Moreno’s account with around 500,000 followers. However, his Instagram account, which has over 17,000 followers, is still up.
