An Iowa teenager has been charged as an adult after severely beating his girlfriend and then asking a friend to dispose of her body when he thought she was dead, Fox 17 News reported.
17-year-old Trevor Ray Dean invited his girlfriend over to his home in Marion, Iowa. He told her that it was for a “surprise,” but was planning to attack her upon her arrival. As the victim was on her way to see Dean, the suspect began texting his friend.
“Somethings Finna go down wait till you see my knuckles after,” he texted, followed by, “I’m Finna let all my anger out.”
When the unsuspecting girlfriend arrived, Dean began punching her. He knocked out several of her teeth, broke her nose, and broke an orbital bone. After the assault, Dean began filming the victim as she gasped for air in the floor. When the gasping stopped, Dean assumed that the victim had died and asked his friend to get rid of her body.
According to the Marion Police Department, a relative of the victim was notified of the beating, and immediately notified authorities. After being located, the teenage girl was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. She is expected to recover from her injuries.
Dean was arrested shortly after, and was charged with willful injury causing serious injury. He is being held on a $25,000 cash-only bond, and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
