The Huntsville Police Department reported that a man accused of a murder that occurred in November was apprehended when he sought medical attention at Huntsville Hospital after being attacked, reports WHNT.
According to a department spokesperson, the murder arrest is related to a shooting incident That transpired on Nov. 21, 2023. Francisco Ramirez, 33, was discovered shot at a home on Cobb Road and later succumbed to his injuries. Walter Escoria-Gomez was issued a murder warrant following an investigation.
Officials responded to an assault victim at Huntsville Hospital on April 4, 2024. One officer identified Escoria-Gomez as the suspect from the shooting that occurred back in November. Once his identity was confirmed, he was apprehended upon his release from the hospital.
